What is MCP?

MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is the open standard AI assistants use to connect to other apps. ChatGPT and Claude support it today, and so does a growing list of other assistants and AI tools. Dashly is an MCP server: add its address to your assistant once, and from then on it can log what you mention and read your dashboards back to you.

Building a client, or checking what an assistant can do before you approve it? The MCP server reference lists sign-in, permissions and every tool.
