Documentation

Wedtide seats wedding guests at tables for you. From an AI assistant you paste your guest list, say who must sit apart or together, and get everyone seated, a summary of each table, and a link that opens the full plan in Wedtide, where you can move people, walk the room in 3D and print it. A second link is for guests: they type their name and see their seat. Free, no account.

Tools

  • Create a wedding seating plan (create_seating_plan, read-only): takes the guest list as text or CSV (one party per line; exports from Zola, The Knot or a spreadsheet work), optional seats per table (default 10), rules (two guests kept apart or together), the couple's names and a room style. Returns who sits at each table, anything it could not satisfy, a link to the editable plan and a seat finder link for guests.
  • Wedding seating etiquette (seating_tips, read-only): short, practical advice on head or sweetheart tables, parents, divorced or feuding families, kids, plus-ones, and how many tables to plan, with notes for some traditions.

Try it

  1. "Seat my wedding guests at tables of 8: Emma & James Stone, The Garcias: Ana, Luis, Sofi (kid), Tom Reed, Priya Shah + Dev Patel, Mark Lee, Julia Lee, Carlos Ruiz. Keep Mark Lee and Julia Lee apart." You get the tables, confirmation that Mark and Julia are apart, and two links.
  2. "Here is our guest list exported from Zola. We are Emma and James. Make the seating chart in a garden setting." You get every guest seated by party, and a plan link titled Emma & James.
  3. "My parents are divorced and don't get along. Where should they sit at our wedding of 120?" You get etiquette advice and a table count for 120 guests.
  4. "Armá las mesas de mi casamiento, 10 por mesa, y que la tía Marta no quede con el tío Jorge", seguido de la lista. Works in Spanish too; the plan opens in Wedtide in your browser's language.

Your data

The guest list is used only to compute the plan, in memory, and travels back inside the links (after the #, which browsers do not send to servers). Wedtide stores nothing and has no accounts. Anyone with a link can read the names in it, so share it with the people you choose. Full details in the privacy policy.

Troubleshooting

  • The assistant gets an error instead of a plan. Ask it to try again. If it keeps failing, check that each guest or party is on its own line, and that seats per table is a whole number from 2 to 30.
  • A rule was skipped. Each name in a rule must match exactly one guest as written in the list. "Mark" will not match if there are two Marks; use the full name.
  • Someone ended up at the wrong table. Couples and families stay together only when they are on the same line ("Ana & Luis", "The Smiths: John, Mary, Tim"). Open the plan link to move anyone by hand.
  • The plan link does not open the plan. Open it in a browser and keep the whole link: the plan is in the part after #, and some apps cut it off.
  • My changes are gone on another device. Edits are saved only in the browser where you made them. Use Share in Wedtide to send the updated plan.
