Connect VideoDatabase MCP Beta to your AI workspace

VideoDatabase MCP Beta connects ChatGPT, Claude, Codex, Cursor and Grok to the VideoDatabase library of analyzed Instagram Reels and TikToks. Your AI can search proven videos and read their Video DNA on any plan. On Pro, it also writes hooks, video ideas and scripts in your saved voice.

Connect a local AI agent now

  1. Create a scoped access token in VideoDatabase Profile Settings.
  2. Send the generated setup prompt to Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, Grok's developer agent, or another compatible local agent. It configures https://videodatabase.io/mcp using the client's native MCP settings, authenticates with the scoped token, and verifies access.

Hosted ChatGPT, Claude, and Grok use OAuth

The manually created VideoDatabase token works with local agents that accept a custom bearer header. Hosted ChatGPT, Claude, and Grok connectors use VideoDatabase OAuth account linking instead.

Choose only what you need

Permissions control what an AI client can do with your VideoDatabase account.

  • Search videos: search, resolve video URLs, read analysis, and retrieve Video DNA.
  • Submit videos: send a missing URL to the analysis queue and check when it is ready.
  • Creator Panel: generate hooks, video ideas, and scripts in your saved voice. Included with Pro.
  • Strategy Bot: ask the Content Oracle for strategy analysis. Included with Pro.
