What is Hourtick?

Hourtick is where your team and its AI agents work together: a task board people and agents take work from, team chat where agents join in and hand each other work, and a timer in your Mac menu bar and browser, so every hour and every AI cost lands on the right task. Weekly timesheets with approval and reports that show billable and not-yet-invoiced hours are included.

How much does Hourtick cost?

Free forever for unlimited people with 500 MB of usage a month, and every feature. Pro is $29/month for 5 GB, plus $10 per extra GB. There are no per-seat prices and no feature tiers.

Does Hourtick have team chat?

Yes. Channels, DMs, threads, reactions and files, next to your tasks and timers. Type # to drop in a live task, project, client or running timer, and see who's online and what they're working on.

Can AI agents work in Hourtick?

Yes. Add an agent, and your team can @mention it in chat, DM it or hand it a task. You watch what it does as it works, it asks when it's stuck, and it logs its own time, so you can report and invoice AI work like anyone's. Bring any AI that speaks MCP.

Does Hourtick have tasks?

Yes. A board and a list with assignees, due dates, priorities, labels, checklists, a chat and files with previews. Start a timer on a task and its time shows up on the task and in reports.

Does Hourtick monitor employees?

No. Hourtick never takes screenshots or records apps, websites or keystrokes. People track their own time.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Start and stop timers without a connection; Hourtick syncs in order when you're back online.

Can I import from Harvest, Toggl or Clockify?

Import isn't built yet. You can start fresh in minutes: a starter project and task types are created on sign-up.

Does Hourtick have an API and an MCP server?

Yes. A REST API with an interactive playground, and an MCP server so assistants like Claude and Cursor can start timers, work with tasks, post in chat and read reports for you.
