What is an SEO MCP server?

An MCP server gives an AI assistant access to outside tools and data through the Model Context Protocol. CalmSEO is one of those servers, focused on SEO. Once connected, your assistant can call live SEO tools (Search Console reports, SERP results, keyword volumes, competitor rankings, page audits) without you opening a separate dashboard.

Setup is a URL, not code. Add the CalmSEO endpoint to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or any other MCP-compatible client, sign in, and ask an SEO question in plain language. Connect Google Search Console and the assistant can work from your own clicks, impressions, and positions; those tools are free on every plan.

If you've ever copied keywords into a spreadsheet, then into ChatGPT, then into your CMS, that's the workflow this replaces. It won't do everything Ahrefs or Semrush do; it covers the part you actually use, inside the assistant you already have open.

What is an SEO MCP server?+

The Model Context Protocol is an open standard that lets AI agents call tools from external servers. An SEO MCP server exposes SEO tools that way. CalmSEO implements MCP over HTTP, so agents like Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor can call SERP, keyword, audit, and Search Console tools the same way they call filesystem or git tools.

Which agents are supported?+

Anything that speaks MCP: Claude Desktop, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Cursor, Windsurf, Codex, Continue, Cline, and Zed.

Do I need to know how to code?+

No. You add a URL to your AI client, sign in, and start asking questions. If you can paste a link into a settings panel, you can use CalmSEO.

Is there a free plan?+

Yes. Sign up with an email, no credit card. The free plan includes starter credits for paid tools, and Google Search Console tools stay free on every plan.

How does this compare to Ahrefs or Semrush?+

Can I use CalmSEO without an AI agent?+

Yes. The same SEO tools are available over a plain REST API. Create an API key and call SERPs, keyword data, audits, and Search Console from your own code, scripts, or scheduled jobs. MCP and the REST API share one account and one credit pool.

How do credits work?+

Each paid tool reserves a fixed number of credits before the upstream call. If the upstream call fails, the reservation is released. Cached responses do not deduct credits. Google Search Console tools are free on every plan.

Where does the data come from?+

Two sources. Your own Google Search Console (via OAuth) for clicks, impressions, CTR, and position on your sites. DataForSEO for live SERPs, keyword volumes, ranked keywords, and on-page audits. We cache responses and reserve credits in front of the paid endpoints.

Can I cancel any time?+

Yes. Stripe-backed monthly billing. Unused credits expire at the end of each cycle.
