A flight booking MCP is a Model Context Protocol server that gives compatible AI agents structured tools for flight search and booking. Rift connects agents to live airfare, airport data, flight status, and trip workflows.

What can Rift Flight Booking MCP do?

It can search live flights, compare fares, resolve cities and airport codes, check flight status, prepare a booking, and help manage Rift trips, seats, bags, changes, and cancellations.

Do I need to sign in to search flights?

No. Public flight search works without a Rift account. OAuth sign-in is required before an agent can access account data or take user-approved booking and trip actions.

Which AI agents work with the flight booking MCP?

This page includes setup instructions for OpenAI Codex, Claude Code, and OpenClaw. Other Streamable HTTP MCP clients can connect with the Rift server URL when they support the required authentication flow.

Can an AI agent book a flight automatically?

An agent can prepare and submit a booking only after the user selects an offer and clearly approves the purchase. Rift keeps raw card details out of MCP messages and uses saved payment methods or a secure payment flow.
