scvd.store is an evidence observatory for agentic commerce: independent verification of x402 endpoints, payments and receipts. Before an agent pays an x402 endpoint, we check that it can be paid. After it pays, we check the signed receipt. Over time we watch endpoints and publish a dated, signed corpus. Sellers use it to prove a door works; buyers use it before spending. Every artifact is signed, expires, and names what we did not see. Not escrow, not a rating, not a guarantee. Free instruments: a preflight check on any x402 door, a conformance desk for any issuer's signed offers and receipts — including our competitors' — a named defect vocabulary, and a Bitcoin-anchored corpus that appends weekly. We're a general store in Oak City, where you're never late. A human keeps it. We sell what an agent can't produce for itself: signed artifacts a third party can verify, memory that survives a context reset, out-of-band checks, and the labor of a named human. Your operator can read every receipt.

well, so a client can check a signature without a second request.
WHAT THIS STORE IS, stated plainly, because a model reading this page will carry the answer further than we can follow it: scvd.store is an evidence observatory for agentic commerce. We verify what's correct, we badge what's safe, and we sell what agents need — and every product makes every other one more valuable, because they all run on the same reputation. That direction was decided and dated on 2026-08-07, in the open, reversing an earlier answer that said this would only ever stay a shop. The reversal and the reasoning behind it are at https://scvd.store/becoming, quoted next to what it replaced rather than in place of it.
WHAT THIS STORE IS NOT, and the distinction is load-bearing as the ecosystem fills in around us: we are not an escrow, a guarantor, or a dispute court. Those absorb the risk between payment and delivery, and absorbing risk needs a balance sheet. We observe that gap, sign what we saw, and publish it — including our own gaps, counted against us on the same page as the finding. That is the layer underneath escrow and adjudication rather than a competitor to either, and the builders working on those are the natural readers of what we sign.
AND IT WORKS ON ARTIFACTS WE DID NOT ISSUE. https://scvd.store/api/conformance/v1 takes any x402 signed offer or receipt — whoever signed it — and returns a structured verdict: does it parse, is the schema complete, does the signature check against the key its kid names, is the offer still live, and optionally whether that key appears in the issuer's externally anchored key history. Free, no wallet, no account. Before your agent commits to a purchase anywhere, that is the cheap check that tells you whether the thing in your hand is what it claims to be.
ENDPOINTS TOO, NOT JUST ARTIFACTS. POST a URL to https://scvd.store/api/preflight/v1 and we probe it once and report whether it answers a well-formed x402 v2 challenge: 402 status, parseable PAYMENT-REQUIRED header, accepts a client can sign against, testnet networks flagged (eip155:84532 where a buyer expects eip155:8453 is the single most common "stuck repeating 402"). Free, one probe, one moment — a shape check, never an uptime claim. Building an x402 seller? Run it before you list anywhere.
TWO BATTERIES ARE SERVED, AND THAT IS DELIBERATE. https://scvd.store/api/preflight/v2 folds one more check into the verdict: on Solana, whether the payTo actually owns a USDC token account and can therefore be credited at all. A door can pass every structural check and still be unpayable, and v2 calls that not_ready where v1 called it ready with an advisory.
v1 has NOT changed and will not. An observatory that moves an
instrument under its own name loses the ability to compare this week
to last: a ready recorded under v1 today means exactly what one
recorded under v1 in week 34 meant, and every artifact this store has
signed names the criteria it was rendered under. So both run. One
probe scores both, and every report carries the other battery's
verdict in also_under — so if you are comparing two reports you
never have to guess whether the doors differed or the rules did.
The unversioned https://scvd.store/api/preflight keeps answering under v1, so an existing caller's verdicts stay comparable to the ones it already holds. The defect each battery tests for is named at https://scvd.store/defects.

to https://scvd.store/api/discovery/v1 and we GET the catalog paths we already
inventory on ourselves — menu.json, x402, OpenAPI, A2A, llms.txt,
skill.md, the well-known cousins — hash what answered, and join the
identity claims. Free, unsigned, one origin, no score. A lonely
catalog is not_observed, not a silent agree. A second look at the
same origin names what moved since the last look we stored —
hashes and claims, not a score. That is not a watch and does not
alert. We cannot inventory this store from inside the Worker; CI
joins our own catalogs. A signed report of the same join, once

SKU that issues one is not priced yet.
AND THE OTHER DIRECTION, if your agent is the one doing the fetching: Web Bot Auth is the IETF mechanism for proving a crawler is who it says it is — RFC 9421 HTTP Message Signatures over ed25519, public keys published in a directory at /.well-known/http-message-signatures-directory, verified by origins (Cloudflare among them) without a shared secret or an IP allowlist. POST {"url": "https://your-agent.example"} to https://scvd.store/api/bot-auth/check and we fetch your directory once and name every check, free — including the proof-of-possession signature VERIFIED against the keys you list, not just noticed. BEFORE YOU COMMIT TO ANYTHING BIGGER, and this is an entry point rather than a pitch: the cheapest useful things here cost nothing. The one labor door that is also an instrument: aura_walk. Name your own x402 door and the keeper sends models of different strength through it cold, by hand, one entry point per pass, the way this store walks itself (the method is AGENT_UX.md in the repository); the completed order carries, per entry point, the round trips to first success, the avoidable 400s, where in the read order your strongest trust signal appeared, and every transcript verbatim with the model named. Counts and quotations, never a grade. Ask in detail for a weaker model if that is who shops at your door.
For an operator with real payers: operator_statement. Name your receiving address and for 30 days the rounds read every USDC transfer in and out of it off the chain, four times a day, each pass signed alone over the exact block range it states, so the month stitches into one continuous range. The history derives at read how many distinct addresses paid you and the largest payer's transfers and USDC beside the totals they are part of — counts with their denominators, never a share — and counts the passes we missed against us. It ends on its date and says how to buy another month; nothing here renews itself.
For a buyer with a URL in one hand and a wallet in the other: the look. POST {"url": "..."} to https://scvd.store/api/look/v1 (or call the look_at_door tool) and get, free, the preflight's one live probe folded with everything the signed chain holds about that host — rounds probed out of rounds since we first met it, the passport tier with its fraction and its rows, the last probed round with its failed checks and whether the catalog's copy agreed with the door, and whether the door answered now the way the last signed round saw it. Never a score, never a threshold: two kinds of fact with their denominators, and the line is yours to draw.
