Documentation
Point any MCP client at Scrappy's hosted endpoint and your agent gets 62 tools for a real cloud browser — navigate, read the page, click, type, upload, download, record — plus the rest of the platform.

Connect
The endpoint is POST https://scrappy.gg/api/mcp over streamable HTTP, authenticated with a Scrappy API key in the Authorization header. In Claude Code it is one command: claude mcp add --transport http scrappy https://scrappy.gg/api/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer sk_..." — other clients take the same URL and header in their JSON config.
What the tools cover
Each tool maps to one endpoint of the cloud browser API, so anything a script can do, the agent can do.
- Sessions: create, list, release, keep alive, sleep and wake.
- Reading: the page as an accessibility tree with a handle per element, text, screenshots, console and network.
- Acting: navigate, click, type, press, hover, scroll, select, fill a form, drag, and up to 25 of those in one batch call.
- Waiting: for an element, or for any condition the page can evaluate.
- The awkward parts: native dialogs, CAPTCHA detection, tabs, uploads, downloads, cookies and recordings.
- Saved logins: start a session already signed in, from the IP the login was made on.
Scoped keys
Browser tools need the browser:read and browser:write scopes, so a key handed to an agent can do only what you granted it. A key can also be capped on concurrent sessions and monthly minutes.
Stateless, so it scales
The hosted server keeps no state between calls: a session id is the only handle, and every call is an authenticated request. Run as many agents against one key as its caps allow, from any machine, without a process to keep alive. Scrappy is listed in the official MCP Registry as gg.scrappy/cloud-browser.
Questions
Which clients work?
Any client that speaks MCP over streamable HTTP: Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code and the agent frameworks that support remote servers. Clients that only speak stdio can run the local server from the same guide with an API key in its environment.
How is it different from a local browser MCP server?
A local server drives a browser on your machine, from your IP, while your machine is on. This one drives headful Chrome in the cloud on a residential exit, keeps saved logins between runs, and has a live viewer someone can take over.
Can I try it before paying?
Yes. A new account gets 100 credits, enough for a few sessions of real use. A session costs 5 credits to start and 1 per minute after that.
Try it on the site you need this week. The first 100 credits are free.
Enough for ten scrapes or a first hour in the cloud browser. No card, no call, no minimum.
