Use Pickadate with Your AI Assistant
Pickadate.net works with AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT. Connect yours once, and you can plan in plain words instead of filling in forms:
- "Set up a dinner poll for next Thursday or Friday evening and invite my running group."
- "Who hasn't answered the board meeting poll yet?"
- "Pick the date most people can make and let everyone know."
- "Make a bar roster for the four Saturdays in May and spread the shifts fairly."
The assistant works with your Pickadate account, through Pickadate's MCP server - the open standard assistants use to connect to other services.
How to connect
First, create a free Pickadate account, or sign in to yours: the assistant works as you.
In Claude (web, desktop and mobile apps)
Pickadate is in Claude's connector directory:
- Open Pickadate in Claude's directory, or in Claude open Customize, then Connectors, and search for Pickadate.
- Choose Connect.
- Sign in to Pickadate when asked, and choose Allow.
- In a chat, open the + menu, then Connectors, and check Pickadate is on.
It works the same in the Claude desktop and mobile apps. In a Team or Enterprise organization, an owner may need to allow it first.
In ChatGPT
Pickadate is in ChatGPT's plugin directory:
- Open Pickadate in ChatGPT's plugin directory, or in ChatGPT open Plugins in the sidebar and search for Pickadate.
- Choose Install, then Connect.
- Sign in to Pickadate when asked, and choose Allow.
- In a chat, type @Pickadate, or just ask: ChatGPT uses it when your request fits.
It works the same in the ChatGPT desktop and mobile apps. In a Business, Enterprise or Edu workspace, an admin may need to allow it first. ChatGPT shows you each change before it's made and asks you to confirm.
In other assistants and tools
Any assistant, app or code editor that supports remote MCP servers can connect:
- Address:
https://pickadate.net/mcp - Transport: Streamable HTTP (sometimes just called HTTP)
- Sign-in: OAuth. There's no API key, client ID or secret to copy: the tool registers itself, then sends you to Pickadate to sign in and choose Allow.
In Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http pickadate https://pickadate.net/mcp. In Cursor, VS Code and similar tools, add a remote (HTTP) MCP server with the address above.
What it can do
- Create group polls, rosters, RSVPs and registrations with limited places, in any of Pickadate's languages and time zones.
- Invite people from your contacts, remind the ones who haven't answered, or take someone off the list; add or remove dates.
- Show who has answered, which dates work best, and who you're still waiting for.
- Confirm a date, close or reopen an event, and assign people to roster dates.
Anything that emails people - invitations, reminders, a confirmed date, changed dates - goes out the same way as when you use the website, and your assistant asks you before doing it.
What it can't do
It sees only events you created while signed in to your account. It can't delete events (you can, on the website), and the number of invitations it can send each day is limited.
Questions people ask
Does it cost anything?
No. Pickadate is free, and so is connecting an assistant to it.
Do the people I invite need an assistant or an account?
No. They get the same email and link as always, and answer on the website without signing up.
Can the assistant see other people's events?
No. It acts as you and sees only your own events and contacts.
How do I disconnect it?
On your account page, open Connected apps and choose Remove access. The assistant loses access straight away.
