How is this different from AI memory?

ClariLayer keeps selected facts, preferences, decisions, rules, and lessons with their source and applicability. The same authorized space can serve relevant context across projects and AI sessions. General work memory stays user-controlled; it is not independently verified or guaranteed to appear in every answer.

Can it use my past conversations?

You choose a supported local history source, a space, and an extraction provider, then preview the batch before accepting it. Connection alone does not read history or install ongoing capture. Current qualified extraction uses a version-specific Claude CLI profile; OpenAI and Cursor extraction providers are unavailable, and native Cursor history qualification remains limited.

Where does a memory apply?

Each memory keeps an applicability label, such as the Launch project or a selected authorized space. Relevant context can be recalled within that scope. Separate spaces do not merge automatically, and a project-specific decision is not treated as a universal rule.

Can I correct or forget something?

Yes. You can correct saved work, keep a reference to the earlier version, or forget and exclude it within the relevant scope. Ambiguous changes and unadopted suggestions do not silently replace an accepted memory.

What happens to my conversation history?

Your selected source content is processed by the extraction provider you choose. ClariLayer stores the extracted context rather than a raw transcript archive. Optional semantic processing has separate consent and provider disclosure.
