AIBIMTool
Design buildings as IFC4 BIM models from a text brief. An AI architect that plans, builds and edits floor plans, walls, doors, windows and roofs, and exports IFC for Revit, Archicad and other BIM tools. Requires an AIBIMTool Studio API key.

Connect your agent
Pick your client. Each takes the same URL in its own place; the first time it connects, it opens the AIBIMTool sign-in.
In claude.ai or Claude Desktop: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector. Name it AIBIMTool and paste the URL:
Connect, sign in to AIBIMTool and allow access. Then ask Claude to design a building.
Overview
The server exposes the AIBIMTool agent as tools. Your assistant sends it a brief; the agent researches the building type, asks you a few questions, proposes a plan for a large building and models it: storeys, walls, slabs, columns, doors, windows, rooms, stairs and the roof. Its questions and plan come back into your chat, so you decide, not the model.
Each person connects their own account. A message is charged for the AI it uses: 1 credit per $0.02, at most 150 credits per 8-minute segment, and a run that fails on our side is refunded in full. The server is a thin layer over the AIBIMTool API.
What you can ask
Plain requests, in any language. A few that work well:
A building from a brief
“Design a 4-storey office on a 1,400 m² plot: lobby and café on the ground floor, open offices above.”
Housing
“Make a terraced row of six two-storey houses, 6 m wide each, with gardens at the back.”
A change
“In the office, add a roof terrace and make the core a little bigger.”
Checking the work
“Show me the plan of the second floor with the room areas.”
Options
“Try the same brief as an L-shape and as a courtyard building, at the cheapest level.”
The file
“Give me the IFC so I can link it into Revit.”
Tools
A building takes minutes, longer than a chat holds a tool call open, so create_building returns at once and get_project_status waits while the agent works.
Hosted server
| URL | https://aibimtool.com/mcp |
|---|---|
| Transport | Streamable HTTP, POST only (stateless, no session to resume) |
| Authentication | OAuth 2.1 with PKCE (S256); access and refresh tokens |
| Client registration | Dynamic (RFC 7591): a client registers itself |
| Discovery | /.well-known/oauth-protected-resource and /.well-known/oauth-authorization-server |
| Requirement | An AIBIMTool account on Studio; checked on every call |
Run it locally
For Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf or Codex with an API key, the npm package aibimtool-mcp is the same server on your machine, and it writes IFC files to disk. VS Code wants servers rather than mcpServers. See also the CLI.

Skills
The aibimtool-skills repository teaches an agent what the schemas cannot: how to write a brief the agent builds well, when to ask you, how to handle its plan and what to do with the IFC. It is also a Claude Code plugin with the server built in.

FAQ
What is the AIBIMTool MCP server?
A Model Context Protocol server at https://aibimtool.com/mcp. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code or Windsurf and the assistant can design a building as an IFC4 BIM model, show you its plans, change it and hand you the file, all on your AIBIMTool account.
Do I need an API key?
Not for the hosted server: the client opens an AIBIMTool sign-in and you allow access, OAuth 2.1 with PKCE. The local server (npx aibimtool-mcp) uses an API key or the key stored by aibimtool auth login.
Which plan includes MCP access?
The MCP server, the API and the CLI are part of Studio (€289 a month, or €189 a month billed yearly). What the assistant builds spends your own credits, priced as in the app.
Is it safe to connect?
The server can only do what you can do in the app with your account: create and change your projects and read them. No tool buys credits, sends messages, publishes anything or touches another account's projects, and access is checked against your plan on every call.
Can it work with Revit?
The server produces IFC4 models, which Revit links or opens directly, along with ArchiCAD, BlenderBIM and Tekla. It does not drive Revit itself; it builds the model and hands you the file.
My client isn't listed. Will it work?
Any client that speaks MCP over Streamable HTTP with OAuth can use https://aibimtool.com/mcp. A client that only runs local servers can use npx -y aibimtool-mcp with an API key.
