What you can ask Claude
Once connected, Claude can see and update the data that actually matters for your job search — your resumes, vacancies, and interview history.
“Roast my resume — what would a senior recruiter cut?”
Claude pulls your latest resume, reviews structure, phrasing, and experience density. You get critique grounded in your actual content — not template tips.
“Why didn't I match this vacancy?”
Claude reads your most recent vacancy analyses and explains the gap in plain language. Useful when the match score wasn't obvious.
“Quiz me on my last interview's weak spots.”
Claude reviews your interview score and feedback, then drills you on the topics where you scored lowest. Targeted practice, not a generic question list.
“What changed in my profile in the last 30 days?”
Claude pulls a chronological feed of resume edits, new vacancy analyses, and completed interviews. Great for week-in-review reflection.

Connect ResumeQuick in Claude
ResumeQuick is in Claude's connector directory. Open it and press Connect. It works on every Claude plan, Free included. Connect in Claude Claude Code, Codex, or adding it by URL
To add it by URL instead: Customize → Connectors → + Add → Add custom connector. Paste this URL, press Add, then allow access on the ResumeQuick page. On Claude's Free plan this takes your one custom connector.https://mcp.resumequick.app/mcp - 02

Ask away
Open a new chat and ask anything that needs your real career data. Claude reaches for the right data on its own. Or pick a ready prompt from the ResumeQuick connector in the + menu: Set up my profile, What's new for me, Analyze a job posting or Prepare for an interview. Try one of these prompts: “Look at my profile in ResumeQuick. Based on my last vacancy analysis, what 3 skills should I learn to land roles like that?” “Roast my latest resume — what would a senior recruiter cut, and why?” “Quiz me on the topics where I scored lowest in my last mock interview.” “What changed in my profile in the last 30 days, and what's an honest assessment of my progress?” No browser to sign in from? Use an API key
Scripts, servers and clients that can't open a sign-in page connect with a personal API key instead. Create one in Settings → Extension & Claude and send it as a Bearer token. It is shown once, and you can revoke it at any time.
claude mcp add --transport http resumequick https://mcp.resumequick.app/mcp \
--header "Authorization: Bearer rq_live_..."
Run this command in your terminal (Claude Code CLI ≥ 1.0).

Troubleshooting
The five things that actually go wrong, and what fixes them.
Check that you pressed Allow on the ResumeQuick page: Deny ends the connection. Then disconnect ResumeQuick in Claude and connect it again from the directory. If you added it by URL, the URL must be exactly https://mcp.resumequick.app/mcp. With an API key, the key must be pasted whole, after "Bearer ", with no trailing space.
Use https://mcp.resumequick.app/mcp — both /mcp and /mcp/ are served directly, with no redirect. If the handshake succeeded and the list is still empty, restart the client: most MCP clients read the tool list once, at startup.
Every tool works on the account you signed in with. An id belonging to another account returns not_found rather than a permission error: we never confirm that someone else's record exists. Check that you allowed access from the same account you have open in the browser.
Tools that generate something — resume rewrites, vacancy analyses, radar scans — draw on your plan's quota, the same counters the web app uses. Reading your own data costs nothing and is never limited.
The one-connector limit on Claude's Free plan applies to custom connectors added by URL. Connect ResumeQuick from the directory instead, or from Claude Code.
FAQ
Privacy, cost, and how the connection works.
Only what's in your ResumeQuick account: your resumes and their history, vacancy analyses, the jobs the automated search found, interview results, offers, your career notes and reminders, and an activity feed. Your password and account settings are never exposed.
Yes. You connect on the ResumeQuick site: you sign in and allow access yourself, and your client gets a token tied only to your account, sent over HTTPS. Disconnect any client in Settings → Extension & Claude and it stops working within seconds. Scripts can use a personal API key instead, which you revoke the same way.
The MCP server is included for ResumeQuick users on any plan. Your Claude or Codex subscription is separate, billed by Anthropic or OpenAI directly. Connecting from Claude's directory works on every Claude plan, Free included.
Claude can edit and tailor your resumes, create versions, analyze vacancies, run and steer the automated job search, and set reminders. Deleting anything takes two steps: it has to be archived first. It can't send messages or emails to anyone, and it can't touch your password or account settings. Most MCP clients, including Claude Desktop and Claude Code, show each action and ask you to approve it before it runs.
Claude on the web and Claude Desktop (from the connector directory or by URL), Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and any other client that supports remote MCP. Clients that can sign in need only the URL; the rest take the same URL with a personal API key.
Open Settings → Extension & Claude and press Disconnect next to it under Connected apps. Within seconds the client can no longer reach your data. Connecting again means signing in again.
