2. Click Connect, then sign in to BrightSite and approve the connection.
3. In a chat, click + > Connectors and turn BrightSite on.

For scripts and tools without a browser. Create a key in BrightSite under User Settings > Security > API keys. It is shown once, so copy it right away. Then send it as a header:

About MCP.

What is MCP?

The Model Context Protocol is an open standard for connecting AI assistants to tools and data. Any MCP client can use the BrightSite server with the same URL.

Which clients work?

Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex, and any other client that supports MCP over HTTP.

How does authentication work?

Clients sign in with OAuth and PKCE, with dynamic client registration, so there's no key to paste. For scripts, use a personal API key as a bearer token. Keys can be revoked at any time.

What can an agent change?

The same things the person who connected it can, based on their role in each site. Content edits are saved as drafts until a publish tool runs.

Is it included in my plan?

Yes. The MCP server is included on every plan.
