How to pay with x402

Call an endpoint; receive 402 with PAYMENT-REQUIRED header (base64 JSON). Retry with PAYMENT-SIGNATURE header using any x402 client (@x402/fetch, @x402/axios, python x402).

    Call the endpoint

    Send a normal HTTP request to any /v1/* route. No headers or keys needed.
  2. 2

    Read the 402

    You get 402 Payment Required with a PAYMENT-REQUIRED header: base64 JSON with the price, asset, network and pay-to address.
  3. 3

    Sign a USDC payment

    Your x402 client signs an exact-amount USDC transfer on Solana mainnet. The facilitator pays the network fee.
  4. 4

    Retry and get data

    Repeat the request with PAYMENT-SIGNATURE. You get 200 OK, the JSON result and a PAYMENT-RESPONSE receipt.
