What does Pro add?

Pro also raises your manual portfolio to 50 positions.

Do I need to connect an account?

No. You can always enter your positions manually instead of connecting to a brokerage or exchange. Connecting, so your positions update automatically, is part of Pro.

Research and intelligence

Can I see what Congress and top fund managers are buying?

Yes, free. Instaport shows the stock trades members of Congress disclose and the holdings top fund managers report every quarter, with new, increased, reduced and closed positions and their dates.

Do I get an alert when Congress or a top fund trades a stock I own?

Yes, free. Alerts when Congress, top fund managers or company insiders trade a stock you own are included with every account. Pro adds analyst, dividend, earnings, options and Fed alerts, and more alerts a day.

What is a 13F filing?

A quarterly report that large investment managers, those managing at least $100 million in certain US securities, must file with the SEC. It lists what they held at the end of the quarter. It’s filed up to 45 days after the quarter ends, so it shows past positions, not live trades, and it doesn’t include short positions.

What are Quant, Fair Market Value and Compare?

Quant grades a stock on key investment factors. Fair Market Value estimates what a company is worth from its fundamentals. Compare puts several companies side by side. All three are included with Pro.

How does AI portfolio intelligence work?

With Pro, Instaport’s AI uses what you own alongside its research and data. Ask about a holding, an opportunity, your exposure or a risk, and the answer is tied to your actual portfolio.

What is the daily pre-market brief?

Every morning before the market opens, a summary of what changed across your holdings and watchlist, with the risks called out. It’s included with Pro.

Your AI assistant

Can I connect ChatGPT, Claude or another AI assistant to my Instaport portfolio?

Yes, with Pro. In Claude, find Instaport in the connector directory and click Connect. In ChatGPT, Muse, Grok and other assistants, add Instaport’s connection address, mcp.instaport.ai/mcp, as a custom connector. Either way, you sign in to Instaport, choose what your assistant can see, and approve. You can disconnect any time from Settings.

What can my AI assistant see, and can I turn it off?

Only what you approve. You choose which portfolio data and accounts it can read, and dollar values need a separate permission. The connection is read-only, so it can’t place trades or move money. Disconnect any time in Settings, under MCP connections, and its access stops.

Connected accounts

Are brokerage and crypto exchange connections read-only?

Yes. Instaport can read your positions so it can organize and analyze them. It can never place trades, move money or change anything at your bank or broker.

Does Instaport see my brokerage password?

No. You sign in through your financial institution’s own secure connection. Instaport never sees or stores your username, password or security codes.

Which brokerages and exchanges are supported?

More than 30. The list can change, so the connection screen shows the current one before you link an account.

How often does my connected portfolio update?

Every day, automatically. You can see the time of the latest update in your portfolio and connection settings.

Can I disconnect an account?

Yes, from Instaport or from your financial institution. Instaport stops receiving data from that connection.

Portside, verification and privacy

What is Portside?

Instaport’s investing community. Share research, discuss ideas, follow other investors and test an idea against the evidence. Full access is included free.

What can Portside members see about me?

Nothing, unless you choose to share. Your portfolio is private by default. If you’re verified and choose to share, members see only your verified return, and separately, if you choose, your top three positions by weight. Dollar values, your other positions and your brokerage always stay private.

What does verified performance mean?

Your verified record starts when your connected account first syncs its positions with Instaport, and returns are measured from that point using read-only data. Manually entered holdings aren’t included. Verification confirms where the record comes from; it isn’t an endorsement of an investor or investment.

Does paying improve my ranking or reach?

No. Pro unlocks tools. It never buys credibility, ranking, visibility or authority in Portside.

Plans and billing

How much does Instaport cost?

Free is $0. Pro is $24.99 billed monthly, or $239.88 billed once a year, the same as $19.99 a month. The annual plan saves 20%.

Where do I manage my subscription?

In Settings, under Plan and billing, where you can see your plan, payment method and invoices. Payments are stored and processed securely by Stripe.

Is everything in Free included with Pro?

Yes. Pro includes everything in Free, then adds connected accounts, AI portfolio intelligence and every premium tool.

Safety and support

Is Instaport investment advice?

No. Instaport provides information, research and analytics. It doesn’t tell you what to buy or sell, and it doesn’t place trades. Your investment decisions are always your own.

How do I get help?

Use the Contact page, linked in the footer, for account, connection, billing or product help. Never send us your brokerage password or security codes.
