A review with a defined scope.
Every review checks these topics against the law where your home is.
In England, the Tenant Fees Act 2019, the Housing Act 1988 and the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985. In Wales, the Renting Homes (Wales) Act 2016 and the Renting Homes (Fees, Discrimination etc.) (Wales) Act 2019. In Scotland, the Private Housing (Tenancies) (Scotland) Act 2016 and the Rent (Scotland) Act 1984. In Northern Ireland, the Private Tenancies (Northern Ireland) Order 2006.
A focused review of these topics, not a complete legal review.

The difference is knowing what to check.
Both require judgment. Check the findings, their evidence and the limits of the review.
A few things worth knowing.
Understand what the review shows and where its limits sit.
What does the overall verdict mean?
The verdict is a starting point for reading the findings. It comes from the checks Lily ran against your agreement; it is not a legal rating or permission to sign. Read the linked wording, explanations and limits before deciding what to do.
Which agreements does Lily cover?
Residential tenancy agreements for homes in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, reviewed from the tenant’s perspective, and employment contracts, offer letters and written statements for jobs anywhere in the UK, reviewed from the employee’s. Business agreements are planned.
What happens to my file?
Your agreement is uploaded to Contract Lily and reviewed there. You don’t need an account. You can delete the review, or all your data, at any time.
Is this a replacement for legal advice?
No. Contract Lily gives recommendations, not legal advice. It shows wording, observations and questions to discuss; it does not decide whether you should sign or establish your legal rights.
Clarity before commitment.
