Model Context Protocol
What is the ValuEdge MCP server?
ValuEdge MCP is the Model Context Protocol interface for ValuEdge. MCP is an open standard that gives AI applications a common way to discover and use tools exposed by external services. ValuEdge uses a remote MCP server so a supported AI assistant can request authorized investment data from ValuEdge on behalf of the signed-in user.
The current ValuEdge MCP connection is read-only. It is designed for portfolio analysis and stock valuation research, not for changing your ValuEdge account.

The complete toolset
Nine read-only tools for company research and your account
The live ValuEdge MCP exposes five public research tools and four personal-data tools. Public research runs without sign-in; personal-data tools require OAuth sign-in, an active Unlimited subscription, and can read only the account that authorized the connection.
Public company research
Search, evaluate, compare, and screen supported stocks.
-
Find a supported company or ticker
search_securitiesResolve a company name or an ambiguous symbol in the ValuEdge-supported security universe before researching it.
-
Inspect one stock's valuation
get_stock_valuationReview current price, canonical fair value, margin of safety, valuation method, assumptions, confidence, and valuation risks.
-
Review financial fundamentals
get_stock_fundamentalsExplore financial history, profitability, growth, balance-sheet evidence, business quality, and data coverage.
-
Compare two to six companies
compare_stocksCompare confirmed tickers across valuation, growth, quality, market metrics, assumptions, and coverage.
-
Screen a bounded set of candidates
screen_stocksChoose presets for undervaluation, margin of safety, positive free cash flow, quality, dividends, large-cap value, compounders, or capitulation. Add supported market-cap, valuation, growth, profitability, yield, and quality filters; narrow by sector, limit (1–12), or sort within the candidate window.
Scope: NYSE/NASDAQ stocks in a 60-candidate window and at most 12 rows—not an exhaustive scan or arbitrary database query. Custom screens require valid canonical fair value and market cap of at least 300 million in listing currency. Growth percentages use decimal fractions (0.15 = 15%); check source dates and coverage in results.

Your private ValuEdge data
Personal tools work only for the signed-in Unlimited account that authorized MCP.
-
Read your portfolio
get_my_portfolioReview your own holdings, market values, fair-value coverage, allocation, concentration, and risk context.

Review your watchlist
get_my_watchlistRead current price, canonical fair value, margin of safety, quality signals, and data freshness for your watchlist.
-
Read your Smart Alerts
get_my_smart_alertsSee your own alert states and related valuation context. This tool does not change alert settings or state.
Read-only by design
The tools retrieve research data. They do not place trades or modify your portfolio, watchlist, Smart Alerts, or ValuEdge account.
How the tools work together
Move from a question to the evidence
Research one company
Resolve an ambiguous name with search_securities, then inspect get_stock_valuation and get_stock_fundamentals for valuation and business evidence.
Screen, then compare
Use screen_stocks for a bounded candidate list; select companies to inspect individually or compare two to six confirmed tickers with compare_stocks.
Understand your portfolio
After signing in with Unlimited, review your holdings with get_my_portfolio and ask analyze_my_portfolio about concentration, allocations, coverage, and risk context.
Follow your own research
Use get_my_watchlist to review your followed stocks, then get_my_smart_alerts to read your alert states and their valuation context.
Example prompts
Ask for the research you need
