Use the endpoint https://electraindex.com/api/mcp and add the HTTP header Authorization: Bearer ei_your_key. Apps that only accept a URL (no header) can still use all free tools.

search_mcp_servers FREE	Search the Electra Index catalogue of MCP servers (from the Official MCP Registry, tested live by Electra Index). Returns name, description, hosted or local, live check status and the Electra Index page. Use it to find a server for a task, e.g. 'web scraping', 'invoices', 'postgres'.
get_mcp_server FREE	Everything Electra Index knows about one MCP server: description, hosted endpoints and required headers (names only), install packages and required environment variables, live check result, the tools it listed to our robot, capabilities. Use the slug returned by search_mcp_servers.
best_mcp_servers_for FREE	Ranked MCP servers for a use case (e.g. 'web-scraping', 'payments', 'sql-querying', 'seo-optimization'). Ranking uses public facts only (name match, breadth, hosted, open source, freshness), never payment. Call without use_case to get the list of use cases.
search_ai_agents FREE	Search ready-made AI agents (products) on Electra Index: Agent Score (0-100, public data only), starting price per month, free plan, themes and page. E.g. 'sales outreach', 'customer support', 'coding'.
get_agent_pricing FREE	Current plans of an AI agent as read on its official pricing page, each with the date it was last confirmed. Use the slug from search_ai_agents.
get_mcp_server_history PAID · $0.01 / CALL	Timestamped history of Electra Index's live checks for one MCP server: every check result, status transitions (stopped answering / back online), answer rate, last time online, tool count over time and version changes. Use it before relying on a server in production. Paid per call (x402, USDC on Base).

Five tools are free, with no account and no key (fair use: 60 calls per minute, 2,000 per day). The availability history is paid, two ways:
