zplflow
officialMCP server to convert, transform, and validate industrial ZPL/PDF shipping labels via AI agents.
What can you do with Zplflow MCP?
- Convert PDF to ZPL — Ask your assistant to turn a PDF label into Zebra ZPL commands, optionally specifying DPI.
- Convert ZPL to PDF — Ask your assistant to convert ZPL label data back into a PDF document.
- Apply label transformations — Ask your assistant to inject GS1-128 compliance, add 2D QR codes, or adjust rotation and scaling on a label.
- Validate labels — Ask your assistant to inspect and validate label content before it reaches the printer.
- Batch label processing — Ask your assistant to run high-volume async label conversions for large print runs.

The ZPL and PDF Label Conversion Problem
Every production line runs on labels. Every label starts as data, a PDF, a shipping manifest, an order. But somewhere between that data and the thermal printer, the process breaks. And every fix becomes an IT project lasting days or weeks.
Expensive desktop software
On-premise software costs thousands of euros per year in licenses alone.
Fragile custom scripts
Internal libraries and scripts are difficult to maintain, don't scale, and break on special characters.
Format and compliance chaos
Every carrier sends a different ZPL variant. Your biggest client demands a GS1-128 barcode and a QR code for traceability. Your current software can't do it. One wrong character and an entire shipment is rejected.

Three Reasons Teams Switch to ZplFlow for ZPL PDF Conversion
One API. Every format.
I have PDFs from carriers but the printer wants ZPL. Or vice versa. I have to manage two systems.
Bidirectional PDF ↔ ZPL conversion in a single API.
One integration. Zero separate systems.
The line never stops.
The line stops if I get a label wrong. Or if volumes exceed forecast.
Dynamic over-budget keeps printing even when volumes spike. Every operation is verified, no label is ever lost or double-charged.
The line never stops. Even during peaks.
Enterprise features. Zero infrastructure.
On-premise software costs thousands of euros per year. And I have to maintain the servers.
Cloud-native, stateless, pay-per-use. No installation, no fixed licenses.
Pay only for what you use. Predictable costs. From €0 the first month.
Why we built this
Built by a team that's been on the line
Every warehouse runs on labels. Every label starts as data, a PDF, a shipping manifest, an order. But somewhere between that data and the thermal printer, the process breaks.
We built ZplFlow because the world doesn't need another label editor. It needs label infrastructure, an API that turns PDFs into ZPL, ZPL into PDFs, and both into pipelines that transform, validate, and optimize every label that touches a box.
Cloud-native. Stateless. AI-ready. Five minutes to first label. That's ZplFlow.
We didn't start from a pitch deck. We started from years of customer requests, the same label modifications asked over and over, by different teams, in different warehouses. 20 years building software, 10 of them in logistics IT, taught us the problem was never the printer or the label. It was the lack of infrastructure. ZplFlow is bootstrapped, we built it to solve the problem, not to raise money for it.
