Set up in three steps

One API key and one command. No SDK to install.

   Create an API key

   Start a Pro or Max plan or free trial, then open the API keys page in your account. Give the key a name and create it. Keys start with sc_ and are shown only once, so copy it right away. Leave "Allow publishing" off if you only want Claude to write drafts.

   Add the server to Claude Code

   Run this in your terminal, replacing sc_... with your key. The API keys page also shows this command with your new key filled in.

   Ask Claude

   Start Claude Code and ask it to do something in Sendcove. Other MCP clients that support HTTP servers with custom headers work the same way: point them at https://www.sendcove.app/api/mcp and send Authorization: Bearer sc_....

Draft and edit posts

Create a post for one or more connected accounts (a draft by default), update it before it goes out, duplicate it, or delete it. Give each platform its own text, a YouTube title and description, platform settings such as an Instagram reel or story, or a thread for X, Bluesky, and Threads.

Publish when you allow it

Publish a draft right away, or retry the accounts a post failed on. Needs a key or connection with publishing allowed.

Upload media

Pull an image or video from a public https URL into your Media Library, get a signed upload URL (valid 10 minutes) for a local file, or browse what is already there. Claude can also read your saved hashtag sets.

Check engagement

Get an engagement summary across published posts (totals, a per-platform breakdown, and top posts), the numbers for any single post, and your best times to post.

Work your inbox

List replies, mentions, and comments newest first, filtered by status or platform. Mark them read, unread, or archived, and reply when publishing is allowed.

Tools go through the same checks as the Sendcove app, so your plan limits and validation rules still apply.

Permissions and limits

Nothing goes public by surprise

A new key can create and edit drafts but can't publish, schedule, or reply to inbox messages. You choose whether a key can publish when you create it, and that can't be changed later: create a new key and revoke the old one instead.

• Keys never get admin access, and a key can’t list, create, or revoke other keys
• Each key is rate limited to 60 requests a minute
• Keys stop working if your account moves to Basic
