Init is the backend engineer for your coding agent. Your agent builds the app, and Init builds and runs the backend behind it.
Describe an endpoint in plain English and Init ships it as a live, typed, versioned HTTPS API in seconds, with auth and secrets handled. Endpoints can use AI inside: research, reasoning, web search, image, video and voice generation, email, databases, storage and scheduled jobs, combined however the task needs.
Works with Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Windsurf, VS Code and any MCP client. No servers, schemas or glue code to write.

Connect Init
Install Node.js 18 or later. Create an account, then create an API key in Secrets. Add this configuration to your MCP client and replace the placeholder with your key:

Keep your API key in your client’s secret configuration. You can also install the server globally:
npm install -g @init-computer/mcp

The free plan includes MCP access, 100 invocations and 50K combined input and output tokens per month. An account and API key are required. Projects and additional capabilities require a paid plan. See pricing for details.
Individual endpoint generation returns its route, typed fields, and version details. Project operations can also return an init.json contract.
