Give your AI assistant real dynasty trade values
TradeGauge MCP is a free, no-login server that lets Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and other AI tools look up live dynasty trade values and grade trades mid-conversation, instead of guessing from memory. Once it's connected, you can ask things like:
- "Should I trade Bijan Robinson for the 1.02 and Garrett Wilson?"
- "Who on my Sleeper roster is losing value right now?"
- "What's this year's rookie class worth compared to last year's?"
- "Pull my league (username) and tell me my best buy-low target."
Connect your AI assistant
The server URL is the same everywhere — how you add it depends on the client.
Claude
- 1. In Claude — claude.ai in the browser, or the desktop app — open Settings → Connectors.
- 2. Choose Add custom connector.
- 3. Paste the server URL below and save. No login, no API key.

ChatGPT
ChatGPT adds remote MCP servers as plugins on chatgpt.com. Whether your account can add a custom server depends on its plan, and on a Business or Enterprise workspace an admin can restrict it (OpenAI's requirements).
- 1. Open Plugins, select +, then Add custom MCP server. Name it TradeGauge and paste the server URL below.
- 2. Choose No authentication, accept the risk warning, select Create as a plugin, and install it.
- 3. In a new chat, type @, pick TradeGauge, then ask.
- 4. Confirm the answer shows a tool call and a values updated timestamp; without them the model answered from memory.

Codex, Cursor, VS Code & GitHub Copilot, any other MCP client
Clients that read an MCP config file take this snippet. Clients that read an Agent Plugins manifest instead can use the manifest URL underneath; both describe the same server and the same seven tools.

Restart the client afterward if it doesn't pick up new servers automatically.

The 7 tools
Every tool is read-only. None of them can place a trade, edit a roster, or change anything in your league.
| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
| tradegauge_search_players | Find a player or rookie pick by name — handles partial names and pick shorthand like "2026 1st" or "1.02". |
| tradegauge_get_player_value | One player in depth: value, positional and overall rank, tier, age, plus the players closest to them in value. |
| tradegauge_evaluate_trade | Grade a trade of any size and return a WIN / EVEN / LOSE verdict, both totals, and the context the raw chart misses. |
| tradegauge_get_rankings | Ranked value lists, overall or by position, dynasty or redraft. |
| tradegauge_get_value_movers | Which players' values rose or fell the most recently. |
| tradegauge_get_league_roster | Read a Sleeper league's rosters from a username or league ID — public, read-only. |
| tradegauge_get_league_activity | Review completed Sleeper trades with TradeGauge values and replacement-level free-agent context. |
Privacy
No account. No auth. Nothing stored.
There's no sign-in step because there's nothing to sign into — the server has no user accounts. Every tool call is read-only: it looks up a value, or for get_league_roster or get_league_activity, reads public roster data straight from Sleeper's own API using only the username or league ID you give it. TradeGauge doesn't keep a record tying an AI conversation to a person.
Values behind every tool call come from the same market data that powers the calculator and rankings on this site, updated Oct 24, 2026.
Make it quote its sources
Every tool reply carries a "values updated" timestamp and the value source, and every verdict names which side moved the number. Start a prompt with "use TradeGauge tools for every value and quote the values-updated timestamp" and a guessed number has nowhere to hide. The prompt library has a copy-ready version of that prefix plus prompts for grading, roster reads, movers and rookie picks, each with the tool it calls and a no-AI fallback on this site.
More on using AI for fantasy football: the AI fantasy football hub, a ChatGPT-specific walkthrough, and a Claude-specific walkthrough. Don't want to connect an AI tool at all? The calculator works exactly the same as it always has.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account to use the TradeGauge MCP server?
No. The server has no accounts, no login, and no API key. You connect the URL once in your AI client's settings and every tool call after that is anonymous and read-only.
Is my Sleeper username or password required?
get_league_roster only needs a Sleeper username or league ID — both public information you'd share in league chat anyway. There's no Sleeper login, password, or OAuth step involved.
Which AI assistants can connect?
Claude (claude.ai, desktop, Claude Code) through a custom connector in Settings. ChatGPT through Plugins → Add custom MCP server, where your plan or workspace admin allows it. Codex, Cursor, VS Code with GitHub Copilot and other MCP clients through the mcp.json snippet on this page, or through the Agent Plugins manifest where the client reads one. The server URL is the same everywhere.
Are these the same values as the TradeGauge website?
Yes — every tool reads from the same market dataset that powers the calculator, rankings, and value chart at tradegaugehq.com, refreshed on the same schedule. Retired players the upstream feed still prices are withheld from every tool, the same way they are withheld from the calculator.
How do I know the assistant actually used the tool?
Every tool reply carries a "values updated" timestamp and the value source. Ask the assistant to quote them. If it cannot, it answered from memory. Our prompts guide has a one-line prefix that makes this the default.
Can it find trade partners in my league, like the website does?
Not yet. The MCP tools read a public Sleeper roster and its completed trades, and grade any trade you describe. The roster-aware league analyzer and trade finder are website features today; exposing them as tools is next on the list once the current seven have proven themselves.
How is this different from other fantasy football MCP servers?
League Loom and Flaim connect your league's rosters and matchups to AI chat but don't carry independent trade values of their own. STACKED does something closer, but it re-serves another site's redraft values behind a paid subscription and OAuth login. TradeGauge's tools are dynasty-specific market values, free, with no account on either end.
What if my AI tool has no connector or plugin support yet?
Remote MCP support is landing in most major AI products through 2026, but not every client has it yet. Until yours does, the calculator at tradegaugehq.com works the same way it always has — no connection required.
