Get connected
Your assistant. Three steps.
Choose your assistant. No API key or download needed.
Closed beta: PromptHero MCP is open to invited accounts only. If yours is not invited yet, PromptHero tells you when you try to connect.
Developer mode is available on the web for Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Education accounts, and your workspace may need to allow it. OpenAI marks developer mode as elevated risk: check what each action does before you confirm it.Setup guide
Capabilities
From discovery to delivery.
A few focused tools give your assistant a complete creation workflow, with your credits, your subscription and the same rules as the website.
Find the right model
List the image and video models available to you, with their variants and estimated credit cost.
Know your balance
Read your current PromptHero credits before starting a new creation.
Create an image or video
Start one generation per request with your credits, under the same rules as the website.
Get the finished result
Check a generation’s progress and get the link to its result when it is ready.
Recover a lost response
Look up a request by its request id, so a dropped connection does not lose your generation.
Try it out
Start with an idea, not a form.
A campaign to launch, a story to tell, a world to build. Pick a starting point and let your assistant help you bring it to life.
Made for your next idea
Make your next launch look delicious.
A summer campaign, an irresistible product shot, a feed worth stopping for. Start with the feeling you want to create.
- 1Shape the campaign mood
- 2Pick an image model
- 3Create the hero shot
Product ads prompt
Create a bright summer ad for a craft soda brand: the bottle on a sunlit podium, orange slices and citrus flying around it, a warm coral background and soft palm-leaf shadows. Make the product the hero and leave room for a headline. Start with one landscape campaign image. Check the available models and my credits, suggest suitable settings, and confirm the estimated cost and public or private visibility with me before generating.
Paste the prompt into your connected assistant and make it your own.

Images come from PromptHero Academy and illustrate each idea; they are not results of the example prompts. The models available to you decide the supported formats and features.
Good to know
A few answers before you connect.
What is MCP?
The Model Context Protocol lets an AI assistant use tools from other services. Connecting PromptHero gives your assistant a small set of creative tools that act on your account, only after you approve it.
Which assistants work?
The setup steps cover ChatGPT developer mode and Claude Code. PromptHero has not verified other assistants. Ones that support remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP with OAuth may work, but we cannot promise they will.
Who can connect?
Any registered PromptHero account, including free accounts, which spend their free credits. If you are browsing as a guest, you will be asked to create an account first. During the closed beta, only invited accounts can approve a connection.
Does generating use my credits?
Yes. Generations use your PromptHero credits, at the same cost as on the website. Your assistant can show an estimated cost for each model; the inputs you choose set the final charge. With generate access, the assistant spends credits without asking you to confirm each generation, so ask it to check the cost with you first.
Is there a spending limit?
Yes. Each assistant you connect has a daily credit cap, currently 2000 credits per Connected app per day. The cap resets at 00:00 UTC and counts each Connected app separately. A generation that would go over it is refused with a message saying when the cap resets. Credits charged when a generation starts count towards the cap, even if the generation later fails.
Are my creations private?
You choose public or private for every generation. Public creations appear on PromptHero, like the ones you make on the website. Private generation needs a subscription that includes it, as on the website. A Connected app can read only your own generations. Adult content is not available through MCP.
Can I connect without allowing generation?
Yes. On the PromptHero consent screen you choose read-only access (models, credits and your results) or read and generate. Read-only access never spends credits.
What if a request times out or is retried?
Each generation request carries a request id. If your assistant sends it again with the same request id and the same inputs, PromptHero returns the original request instead of charging or generating twice; the same request id with different inputs is refused. If the outcome is unclear, ask your assistant to look up that request id before starting a new one. A request whose outcome is uncertain is never sent again automatically.
How long does a connection last, and how do I disconnect?
A connection stays active while you use it, ends after 30 days without use, and lasts one year at most. To disconnect, open Account → Connected apps and revoke it; its next request is rejected. Removing PromptHero from your assistant’s settings may only delete the assistant’s own copy of the connection.
