How it works

Three steps take a buyer's prompt to a citation result.

  1. Choose the prompt and your domains

Pass the prompt a buyer would ask and 1 to 10 target domains.
  2. Run the check

citation_tracker_check_perplexity sends the prompt to Perplexity live, on the sonar model with low search context.
  3. Read the result

You get the cited status, citation count, cited domains, and Perplexity's related questions.

citation-tracker measures whether an engine cites a domain right now. It doesn't predict future citations or explain why an engine picked one source over another.

Tools

One check tool and two tools for monitors that already exist. A prompt goes in as text: citation-tracker never fetches a URL for you.

TOOLWHAT IT RETURNS
citation_tracker_check_perplexityWhether Perplexity cites your target domains for one prompt: cited status, citation count, cited domains, model, and related questions.
citation_tracker_monitor_statusThe status of an existing monitor. New monitors are closed.
citation_tracker_monitor_cancelCancels an existing monitor.

Limits

Every check is free. Daily caps keep the Perplexity bill bounded.
