Demo

Quick Install

npx -y mcp-crypto-toolkit

Installation

Claude Desktop / Cursor / Windsurf

  "mcpServers": {
    "crypto-toolkit": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": ["-y", "mcp-crypto-toolkit"]
    }
  }
}

Local build:

  "mcpServers": {
    "crypto-toolkit": {
      "command": "node",
      "args": ["/ABSOLUTE/PATH/TO/mcp-crypto-toolkit/dist/index.js"]
    }
  }
}

HTTP server

npm run build
npm run start:http
# POST http://localhost:3000/mcp

Deploy (Smithery / remote MCP) — optional

You do not need paid hosting for discoverability. This server already installs via npx -y mcp-crypto-toolkit (stdio) and is listed on the Official MCP Registry. Glama and PulseMCP ingest from there — no Fly/Railway bill required.

Only deploy HTTP if you want a remote /mcp endpoint (e.g. Smithery URL publish).

Render (free — no credit card)

  1. Fork/connect repo at render.com
  2. New → Blueprint → point at this repo (render.yaml uses the Free plan)
  3. After deploy: https://YOUR-SERVICE.onrender.com/health
  4. Smithery: publish https://YOUR-SERVICE.onrender.com/mcp

Free tier sleeps after ~15 min idle; first request may take ~30s to wake.

Docker (local / your own VPS)

docker build -t mcp-crypto-toolkit .
docker run -p 3000:3000 mcp-crypto-toolkit

Paid PaaS (if you outgrow free tier): Fly.io and Railway work with the included fly.toml / railway.toml but are not free long-term.

Optional env: COINGECKO_API_KEY, COINGECKO_PRO=1, gas oracle keys (see table below).
