Documentation
ManifoldBT Docs MCP
Documentation for writing manifoldbt backtests, served over MCP to Claude, Cursor or any other client that speaks it.
This repository has no server code. The server is hosted at https://mcp.manifoldbt.com/mcp, so there's nothing to install and you don't need an API key.

Tools
| Tool | Purpose |
|---|---|
search_docs | Search the authoring guide, DSL rules, indicator and config signatures, and worked examples. |
explain_error | Paste an engine error message; get the cause and a concrete fix. |
get_capabilities | Which engine version this documentation describes, and what is Pro-gated. |
list_topics | The reference content by category. |
The server is read-only: it answers questions about the engine but can't compile or run anything, because it holds neither the engine nor market data. Backtests run on your own machine, against your own data, with pip install manifoldbt.
