Documentation
One endpoint. Published notes.
Digital Garden by Alicia is the interactive 3D flower artwork at digitalgarden.si. This MCP service gives compatible assistants access to the artist’s published writing. It does not control the garden or expose private project files.
MCP server URL
https://mcp.digitalgarden.si/mcp
Transport: Streamable HTTP. Authentication: None. Free to use; no account, API key or local server installation required.
ChatGPT
If your account or workspace supports custom MCP apps, enable developer mode, create a custom app with the URL above, select no authentication, then scan the tools. Select the app in a chat before asking about a note. Availability and administrator permissions depend on your plan; see the official ChatGPT instructions.
Gemini CLI
In your chosen project, add the server and check its connection:
gemini mcp add --transport http digitalgarden https://mcp.digitalgarden.si/mcp
gemini mcp list
This setup is for Gemini CLI. It does not install a connector in the consumer Gemini website or mobile app. See the official Gemini CLI MCP guide.
Other MCP clients
Choose a remote Streamable HTTP server, paste the endpoint and use no authentication. The server exposes four read-only tools. Public listing does not automatically connect an assistant or grant it permissions.
What you can ask it to do
| Tool | Purpose |
|---|---|
search_articles | Search titles, topics, summaries and article text. Optional language, topic and result limit. |
get_article | Read the full Markdown article using its slug or canonical URL; includes available translations. |
list_topics | Find available topics and article counts. |
list_recent_articles | List the most recently published notes, optionally by language. |
Start with a real question
“Find Alicia’s OpenUSD and Three.js test, read the full article, and explain its material and instancing limitations with a link to the source.”
“Find the Chinese Claude Code and Houdini note. Summarize the setup and the checks that still need a human.”
Example tool arguments:
search_articles({"query":"OpenUSD Three.js","language":"en","limit":3})
get_article({"slug_or_url":"https://digitalgarden.si/blog/openusd-threejs-usd-web-viewer/"})
Keep the source in the answer
Results include the original title, language, publication date, author Alicia and canonicalUrl. Read the full note before summarizing it, link to that URL, and preserve the stated test conditions and limitations. A community observation is not an official product specification.
The service only searches its bundled public article catalog; it is not a general web search engine. Empty results mean no matching note in this catalog. Queries can contain public topic keywords; avoid sending secrets or personal information. The service has no account or conversation database. Hosting processes connection metadata for operation and abuse prevention.
Limit: 60 requests per 60 seconds per IP at each Cloudflare location. On HTTP 429, respect Retry-After. If a client cannot connect, read the same articles in the Notes archive.
Read access does not transfer rights to the garden’s source, plant assets or third-party material. Use & licensing · MCP privacy
