Documentation
Botmail Developer Wiki
Welcome to the official developer documentation for Botmail. Botmail provides high-reliability, project-owned email identities, programmatic REST APIs, native Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, and ChatGPT plugin integrations with secure human oversight.
Pro Tip: You can monitor your workspace's active inbox storage, archive box storage, and daily delivery quotas anytime via the dashboard Usage Page or programmatically using GET /v1/usage.
Core Architecture
Botmail isolates email operations into Projects and Inboxes. Every autonomous project receives its own dedicated email address that persists across agent updates, code refactors, or prompt changes.
- Persistent Inboxes: Permanent addresses that survive agent cycles.
- Temporary Inboxes: Short-lived test addresses with automatic expiration.
- Metered Storage: Separate quotas for active inbox messages and long-term reference archives.
