Open Connectors
In claude.ai (or the desktop app), open Settings → Connectors and click “Add custom connector”.

What is the BudgetPixel MCP server?▾
A remote MCP (Model Context Protocol) server at https://mcp.budgetpixel.com/mcp that lets AI agents like Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor create with your BudgetPixel account — directly from the conversation. It exposes 16 tools: generate images (including image-to-image and multi-reference editing), video, music and sound effects, upscale images and video, upload local files as inputs, search free stock images, save results to your library, publish posts to the BudgetPixel community, browse the model catalog with prices, check your credit balance, and view your generation history.
Do I need an API key?▾
No. You sign in with your BudgetPixel account (Google SSO) during the connect flow — no keys to create or paste. This is different from the BudgetPixel developer API, which uses API keys and is aimed at building applications.
Which plans include MCP access?▾
Every paid plan (Basic, Premium, Pro and Ultra), from $10 a month — the same plans that include the developer API. Any account, Free included, can connect, browse the model catalog, and search BudgetPixel's free stock image library (the search_stock_images tool, 10 credits per search); generation, uploads, and posting require a paid plan, and agents on other plans get a clear upgrade notice.
How is usage billed?▾
Generations through MCP use the same credits as the BudgetPixel studio — your plan's monthly credits, model discounts, and the Pro/Ultra daily free-models allowance (100/300 free generations per day on qualified image models) apply automatically, and failed generations are never charged. Images are priced per image, video and sound effects per second, and music per track; publishing a community post costs 10 credits. You can set a monthly credit limit and an email alert in the developer console.
Which models can my agent use?▾
31 image models, including SeeDream 5.0 Pro, FLUX 2 Klein, SeeDream 5.0 Flash, FLUX 3, Nano Banana 2.1, SeeDream 4.5 and more. 7 video models: Wan 3.0, Wan 3.0 Prime, SeeDance 2.5, SeeDance 2.0, SeeDance 2.0 Mini, MiniMax H3 Max and MiniMax H3. Music: Music 3.0, Music 2.6, Lyria 3 and Mureka V9. Plus sound effects and upscaling. The list updates automatically as models are added; your agent can read all of it with live prices through the list_models tool.
Is video or music generation supported through MCP?▾
Yes — both. Your agent can make video from text, a start frame, reference images, or an existing clip to edit, up to 30 seconds, priced per second by resolution (Wan 3.0, Wan 3.0 Prime, SeeDance 2.5, SeeDance 2.0, SeeDance 2.0 Mini, MiniMax H3 Max and MiniMax H3). Music is full songs, exact-lyrics vocals or instrumentals, priced per track (Music 3.0, Music 2.6, Lyria 3 and Mureka V9). Finished videos and tracks come back as links in the chat.
How long are my generations kept?▾
About 24 hours. Results made through the connector are temporary, like the developer API's: the link works for about a day and then the file is deleted. Ask your agent to save one (the save_to_assets tool) and a copy is kept in your BudgetPixel library. Upscaled images and videos are saved to your library automatically.
Can my agent post to the BudgetPixel community?▾
Yes — when you ask it to, your agent can publish images, a video, or a track (with cover art, genre, and lyrics) to your public BudgetPixel feed. Posts made this way carry a “via MCP” label for transparency and cost 10 credits each to prevent spam — the same policy as the developer API.
