AskOne: Live Q&A and Polls

official

Run free live audience Q&A and polls from your agent: start an AskOne room, add and launch a poll, approve or hide questions and mark them answered, close the room, then read the questions as a FAQ draft and get the results. Free AI moderation (optional). Uses an organization API token from askone.org

What can you do with AskOne Live Q&a And Polls MCP?

  • Run a live audience Q&A — Ask your assistant to set up a room where participants vote on questions and the top one is displayed.
  • Moderate incoming questions — Have the AI screen new submissions for spam or abuse, holding uncertain ones for a person to approve or reject.
  • Launch and reveal surveys — Create a survey alongside the Q&A, collect responses from the room, and share results when you choose.
  • Export session results — After closing, request a CSV export of the Q&A and survey totals for review.
  • Manage multiple concurrent rooms — For conferences or all-hands, ask to open several rooms at once, each with its own code and projector view.

Documentation

Live Q&A your audience joins from a phone, with no account. Rank questions by votes and put the top one on the wall. Choose who reads them first — nobody, a person, or the AI — and change it mid-session; all three are on every plan, within fair use. Pay for bigger rooms, more of them, and your own logo in front of the audience.

Open to everyone, no account. It resets itself every few hours.

Built for whoever is running the session.

Two roles, and the product knows the difference. An administrator opens rooms, holds the plan and invites the team. A moderator handles questions and surveys — they never open or close rooms.

Solo educators and creators

Cohorts, webinars, workshops. Run your own session with a Q&A that does not need a producer beside you.

Teams running all-hands

Invite moderators to help run the session. Choose to hold new questions for approval before they reach the audience and the wall.

Conference and community tracks

Several rooms open at once, each with its own code and its own projector view, and one place to see all of them.

The hour you actually have to run.

The job is not “collect questions”. It is to finish the session having answered the ones that mattered, without reading a scrolling chat out loud. Choose moderation when you want new questions checked before they reach the audience.

TodayA chat box and good intentions

Questions scroll past while you are mid-sentence, and the good one from minute four is gone by minute nine.

You cannot tell which question ten people wanted and which one person typed twice.

Anything anyone types is on the screen the moment they type it.

The quiet half of the room never unmutes, so you never hear from them at all.

When the call ends the questions end with it.

With AskOneOne ranked list

One list, ranked by the room. The top question is the next question.

Upvote a question you want answered, and take your vote back if you change your mind.

Choose whether to hold new questions for approval — a person, or an AI first pass that screens for abuse and spam and holds anything it is unsure about — and change it mid-session. Your moderators can approve, reject or send questions back.

Asking takes five seconds from a phone, with no account and no unmuting.

Ask the whole room with surveys alongside Q&A, and reveal the results when you choose.

After closing, the host can review the Q&A and survey totals and export them as CSV.

In our 100-question check on 1 October 2026: none of 55 civil questions rejected, 24 of 25 abusive or spam ones caught and the 25th held for a person. Median 289 ms.

Four things people ask before they try it.

Nothing to install

Share the room link or let your audience scan its QR code. Open it in the browser, with no app, extension or download on either side.

Made for phones and the big screen

Your audience asks from a phone or laptop. A separate projector view keeps the questions readable at the front of the hall.

Ready before the room fills

Prepare your room and draft its surveys ahead of time. Share the link before the session; you decide when the room opens.

What the AI sees

On the AI setting, the question text and the room's name and description go to the model. No participant name, cookie or IP goes with that question — and nothing is deleted: whatever it holds back waits in a list you can overrule. Display names get a separate check in every room, with only the name sent.

Ask the whole room with surveys

Let the room choose a direction, or collect the words that stay with people.

Plans for the room you run.

Free includes every feature — Q&A, surveys, the projector, optional moderation and the moderators who do it. What is paid is capacity and branding: Free is 1 open room at a time and up to 100 participants per room, with a small “Create your own room — free” line on the audience’s screens. No credit card or trial clock. Premium includes the same features with up to 10 open rooms at a time and 1,000 participants per room, and replaces that line with your organization’s logo above the room’s name, on the audience’s phones and on the wall. Participant limits apply separately to each room; there is no monthly participant pool or monthly reset, and the open-room limits above still apply. AI moderation is included on every plan, within fair use. One plan covers the whole organization; nobody pays per presenter.

Plans apply to your organization. Prices, payment and cancellation are handled by Clerk.
