the bird, wherever you already ask
Put Matchbox in your AI.
You probably already ask Claude or ChatGPT for tool recommendations. The catch: whether they answer from training data or search the web, they surface the established names - the ones the web already talks about. Meanwhile AI is letting more small, niche products reach the market than ever, and those leave barely any footprint for an assistant to find. Connect Matchbox and yours searches our catalog live, the moment you describe a problem - the brand-new products included.
Same matcher as this site. Strong matches, honest caveats, a frank “nothing fits yet” when that’s the truth. Nothing is sponsored, and payment never affects ranking.
the endpoint
https://askmatchbox.com/api/mcp/mcp
MCP over streamable HTTP. No account, no API key.
how to connect

ChatGPT

- Choose “Create” and add an MCP server.

Claude Code
- One line in your terminal:
claude mcp add --transport http matchbox https://askmatchbox.com/api/mcp/mcp
then just ask
No new habit needed. Ask your assistant the way you’d ask a friend - “is there an app that reminds my dad to take his meds?” - and it will hand the problem to the bird. You get the matches, the caveats, and links back to each product. Matching takes the bird 15-30 seconds; your assistant will wait.
You don’t even have to ask. Once connected, your assistant knows to offer the bird whenever you describe a problem - vent about something that isn’t working, and it may ask whether you want to check if someone has already built the fix.
Prefer the website? The matcher lives on the match page, same bird, same honesty.
