adplane

Google Ads reporting and campaign management for Claude; everything it creates starts paused, nothing spends until you turn it on.

Documentation

Adplane connects your Google Ads and Meta Ads accounts to Claude or ChatGPT. Once connected, you can ask about performance and make changes to your campaigns in the same conversation, in plain language.

What you need

  • A Google Ads or Meta ad account, or access to someone else's.
  • An Adplane subscription. A 14 day free trial starts when you sign up and does not require a card.
  • Claude or ChatGPT, on any plan that supports connectors.

Connecting, start to finish

  1. Go to adplane.ai and sign in with Google. Use the Google account you already use for Google Ads.
  2. Approve the Google permissions screen. Adplane asks for access to Google Ads so it can read your reporting data and make the changes you ask for.
  3. Every Google Ads account you have access to is connected automatically. There is no account picker and nothing to configure. You can see what got connected on your accounts page.
  4. Run Meta ads too? On the accounts page, click Connect Meta Ads and sign in with Facebook. Your Meta ad accounts and Pages join the same connector.
  5. In Claude, open adplane in the connector directory and click Connect. In ChatGPT, open adplane in the plugin directory and click Install plugin. In Cursor or Claude Code, add it as a custom connector with this URL instead: https://mcp.adplane.ai
  6. Claude or ChatGPT sends you through a one time approval. After that you are done.

Checking it works

Ask your assistant:

List my Google Ads accounts.

You should get back your accounts with their IDs, names, and currencies. If you do, everything is wired up.

Reporting

Ask about performance the way you would ask a colleague.

How did my search campaigns do last week compared to the week before?

Which ad groups have the highest cost per conversion in the last 30 days?

Show me search terms that cost more than 50 dollars and never converted.

Amounts come back in your account currency, already converted, so you can read them directly. The assistant tells you the exact date range it used. If you know GAQL, you can hand it a query and it will run it; the GAQL cookbook has copy-paste examples for the common questions.

Building campaigns

Describe what you want and the assistant assembles it.

Create a search campaign for our pricing page, 50 dollars a day, targeting the US.

Add an ad group for our main product terms with exact and phrase keywords.

Write a responsive search ad for that ad group.

Meta Ads

With a Meta connection, the same conversation covers Facebook and Instagram: reports, campaign structure, and creatives built from images and video you provide.

How are my Meta campaigns doing compared to Google this month?

Create a Meta traffic campaign for our spring sale using this image, paused.

Meta writes follow the same safety rules as Google: everything is created paused, and one explicit action is the only way anything starts spending.

Changing what already exists

Renames, budgets, bids, and pausing or enabling.

Pause the campaign that is spending the most with no conversions.

Raise the daily budget on our brand campaign to 80 dollars.

You can also cut waste with negative keywords.

Add these as negative keywords across the whole account.

How Adplane keeps your spend safe

This is the part worth reading carefully.

  • Everything Adplane creates is paused. New campaigns, ad groups, keywords, and ads are all created in a paused state. They cannot serve and they cannot spend. You can build an entire campaign structure, look it over, and change your mind, with nothing running.
  • Only one tool can start spending. Turning something on is a separate, deliberate action. No tool that creates anything is able to enable it at the same time. Nothing starts spending unless you explicitly ask for it.
  • Negative keywords cannot spend. They only restrict where your ads show, so adding them is always safe.
  • Deleting is deliberately limited. Adplane can permanently remove a campaign only if that campaign has never spent money, which exists for cleaning up a draft you abandoned. There is no bulk delete, and ad groups, ads, and keywords cannot be deleted at all. To stop something running you pause it, which is reversible.
  • Changes are read back. After Adplane makes a change it reads the result back from Google and reports what Google actually stored, rather than assuming the change landed as requested.

The reporting tools cannot change anything. Raw GAQL queries are validated to be SELECT statements only, and the Google API used for reading cannot make changes regardless.

Disconnecting

You can disconnect at any time on your accounts page. You can also revoke Adplane's access directly from your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions. A Meta connection can be removed the same way, on the accounts page or from your Facebook account's Business integrations settings.
