Documentation

The MCP server lets Claude (in Desktop, Code, or the terminal) build and edit your saved scenes using your existing Claude subscription.

The interactive version has full-text search, a table of contents, and light/dark themes.

The MCP server is the mirror image of the in-editor Assistant. Instead of chatting inside the editor on an API key, you chat with Claude Desktop or Claude Code (on your existing Claude subscription), and Claude builds and edits your saved scenes on your account. Anything Claude makes appears the next time you open that scene in the editor, and vice-versa.

Two ways in

There are two routes, and the first one needs nothing installed:

Hosted connectorLocal server
What you addA URL: https://3dcms.info/mcpThe mcp-server/ folder on your own machine
How you sign inGoogle, in your browser, onceAn API token you paste into a config file
Needs Node?NoYes, Node 18+
ToolsThe 6 core toolsAll 8, including the paid generation tools

Start with the hosted connector unless you specifically want generate_3d and generate_material, which need your own fal.ai key on your own machine. Either way, Connect Claude has the steps. (MCP stands for Model Context Protocol, the open standard Claude uses to connect to external tools.)

3dCMS is listed in the official MCP registry as info.3dcms/mcp, and directories that crawl that registry carry it too, so some clients can find it without you typing a URL at all. You can see the listings on Smithery and Glama, both of which show the same six tools the hosted connector serves.
