Questions
Do I need an API key?
Usually not. The first time you connect, a browser window opens to sign in to Curio — that's it, and it stays connected while you use it. If your client can't open a browser and asks for a token instead, create an API key under Connected apps in your account. To disconnect, revoke it there.
Which AI clients work?
Claude (web, desktop and Claude Code), ChatGPT, Cursor, Copilot in VS Code, Codex and other clients that support remote MCP servers. The setup docs have steps for each one.
How is MCP different from copying a link?
A link hands one style to your AI — nothing to install, and any AI that can open a link can use it. MCP is a one-time setup that lets your AI search, compare and pull styles from the whole library by itself — better if you use Curio often.
Will my AI spend credits without asking?
No. Pulling a style you've already unlocked costs nothing. For a style you haven't unlocked, your AI asks you first, and 1 credit is spent only if you agree — after that the style is yours for good.
