What is Human Design?

Human Design is a self-knowledge system that combines astrology, the I Ching, Kabbalah, and the chakra system into a single chart called a bodygraph. Based on your exact birth date, time, and place, it maps out your energy type, decision-making authority, and personality profile — giving you a practical framework for understanding how you operate and interact with others.

How does the AI have Human Design knowledge?

Large language models like Claude, GPT, and Gemini have been trained on vast amounts of text, including extensive Human Design literature, books, and resources. This knowledge is baked into the model itself. What gethumandesign adds is the precise calculation of your chart — your exact gates, channels, centers, type, authority, and profile based on your birth data. The AI then combines its deep understanding of Human Design with your accurate chart data to deliver personalized, nuanced interpretations that go far beyond generic descriptions. Our built-in chat is powered by these same frontier models — you can see which model is being used in the bottom left of the chat.

Can I connect gethumandesign to my own favorite AI chat?

Yes. gethumandesign works as an MCP server — an open standard that lets AI assistants connect to external tools. Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, and most other major AI platforms support it. See the setup instructions to connect your preferred AI in under a minute.

What does "unlimited (fair use)" mean?

Pro plan chart calculations and AI chat messages are unlimited for normal personal use. To keep the service fast and reliable for everyone, we have generous fair use thresholds that the vast majority of users will never reach. If you do hit a limit, it resets automatically after 30 days. See our terms of service for full details.

Is my data secure?

Yes. Your birth data and chat conversations are stored securely on servers in the EU. We do not sell your personal data. Chat messages are sent to the AI model provider for processing but are not used to train their models. We use essential authentication cookies plus Cloudflare Web Analytics and advertising measurement tools. Public pages may send page-view, page-visit, or video-view events to advertising partners, while Cloudflare Web Analytics collects aggregated page usage and performance metrics. Dashboard visits may also send page-view events. Hashed identifiers are only used after a signed-in dashboard session is confirmed and for signup or purchase conversions. We do not send birth data or chat contents to ad platforms. You can delete any person record or conversation at any time from the dashboard, and deleting your account removes all your data. How accurate are the chart calculations?

Very accurate. We use JPL ephemeris DE421 data — the same planetary positions used in professional astronomy software — to pinpoint gate, line, color, tone, and base for all 13 celestial bodies in both your personality (birth) and design (88° solar arc) charts. Results have been verified against established Human Design software.

What kinds of things can I ask?

Anything about your design. People commonly ask about their energy type and strategy, how to make decisions using their authority, what their profile means for relationships and career, what specific gates and channels say about their strengths, how their design compares to a partner's or child's, and how to work with their natural energy patterns. The AI adapts to your level — whether you want a quick overview or a deep dive into your incarnation cross.

Do I need to know Human Design to use this?

Not at all. The AI will explain everything in plain language. You can start with simple questions like "What is my Human Design type?" or "What should I know about my design?" and go deeper from there. The AI adapts to your level of knowledge — whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced reader looking for deeper insights into specific gates and channels.
