Rug checks for AI agents · Remote MCP server

Forensic evidence inside your AI. One URL.

Add Scienter to Claude Code or Cursor with a key and ask about any wallet or token: who deployed it, what their earlier launches did, whether an address is on the OFAC list. Answers come from the chain with their sources, and say so when a check did not run. 50 lookups free, no card.

Same prompt, different results

“Who launched 2byaApN7…pump, and is the creator someone I should worry about?”

A model with no tools

“I can’t look up live blockchain data, so I can’t tell you who created this token. You could check a block explorer or a token-scanner site, and be careful with new pump.fun launches…”

With Scienter

FLAGGED. Created by 8dEgpaZ6…ebezu2n. Every one of that wallet’s 1,136 settled launches has died. Launches like these were still listed at least a day later about 1 time in 125, against about 1 in 23 for launches this screen does not flag.

Connect in three steps

1. Get a free key

We email it to you. If the email cannot be sent, the key is shown once on screen instead. One key per address, 50 lookups.

2. Add the server

Claude Code:

claude mcp add --transport http scienter https://scienter.xyz/mcp \
  --header "Authorization: Bearer sc_YOUR_KEY"

Cursor (.cursor/mcp.json):

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "scienter": {
      "url": "https://scienter.xyz/mcp",
      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer sc_YOUR_KEY" }
    }
  }
}

The setup instructions above cover Claude Code and Cursor with a bearer key. Scienter's sign-in flow for Claude.ai, Claude Desktop and ChatGPT is still being built; those clients are not covered by this remote setup guide yet.

3. Ask

“Screen 0x… against OFAC.” “Who launched this mint?” “Has this wallet touched a bridge?” Each answer ends with the lookups you have left.

The 8 tools

Every tool is read-only. Each call costs one lookup.

  • solana_tokenWho created a Solana token, and what that wallet’s earlier launches did.1 lookup
  • solana_deployerA deployer wallet’s record: launches settled, died, survived, and whether every one died.1 lookup
  • wallet_scoreChain facts, the published exchange label and cited findings. Never a made-up score.1 lookup
  • ofac_checkA direct OFAC SDN match, and separately a bounded two-hop walk over real transfers.1 lookup
  • cex_attributionWhether the address is a labelled exchange wallet, and its deposits to exchanges.1 lookup
  • bridge_traceTransfers that touched a bridge contract, with destination chain, amount and hash.1 lookup
  • leaderboard_queryThe Wall of Rugs as data. Not answering yet: its scorer is not running, so the wall is empty.1 lookup
  • receipts_lookupPublished incident reconstructions that mention an address.1 lookup
