What is Seedeo MCP?

Seedeo hosts the MCP server for you: there is nothing to install, no Node.js or Python runtime and no GPU. Your AI assistant connects over HTTPS, discovers the tools, starts generation tasks and returns the finished media URLs. The same models are available as a plain REST API for your own apps.

Quick start: connect in under 5 minutes

1. 1 Create a free Seedeo account Sign up at seedeo.ai. New accounts receive free starter credits.
2. 2 Create an API key Open Account → API & MCP and create a key. Keep it secret: anyone with the key can spend your credits.
3. 3 Add the MCP server to your client Paste the configuration for your client below, with your key in the Authorization header, then restart the client.
4. 4 Ask your assistant to create something For example: "Generate a 5 second 16:9 video of a red fox in the snow with Veo 3.1 Fast." The assistant calls generate_video, waits with get_task and returns the video URL.

Replace sk_seedeo_your_api_key with your own key. The server URL is the same for every client.

Claude Desktop

Claude Desktop connects to remote servers with custom headers through the mcp-remote bridge (requires Node.js). Add this to claude_desktop_config.json (Settings → Developer → Edit Config) and restart Claude.

ChatGPT and other agents

For ChatGPT custom GPTs, n8n, Zapier or your own agent framework, call the REST API below with the same API key (API key auth, Bearer). Any MCP client that can send a custom Authorization header to a remote Streamable HTTP server can also connect directly.

MCP tools

The server exposes seven tools. Generation is asynchronous, so every generate tool returns a task id.

• list_models List video, image and music models with their options and credit prices.
• get_credit_balance Return your current credit balance.
• generate_video Start a text-to-video, image-to-video, first/last frame, multi-reference or motion control generation.
• generate_image Start a text-to-image generation or edit images with up to 16 reference images.
• generate_music Create a song with Suno (two tracks) from a description, or from your own lyrics and style.
• get_task Get a task status and output URLs. Can wait up to 50 seconds for the task to finish.
• list_tasks List your recent video, image or music generations.

Typical workflow: list_models → generate_video / generate_image / generate_music (optionally with dry_run: true) → get_task with wait_seconds until the status is "success" → share the output URL. Videos usually take 1–5 minutes, images 10–60 seconds and music 1–3 minutes. If get_task returns while the task is still "pending", the task keeps running: call get_task again with the same id.

Pricing: pay-as-you-go credits

There is no separate API plan. MCP and API requests use the same Seedeo credits as the website, at the same price per generation.

Yes. Call generate_video with the model id veo-3-1 (Quality), veo-3-1-fast or veo-3-1-lite. Text-to-video and image-to-video are supported.

Which API gives access to Veo, Kling, Seedance and other video models with one integration?

The Seedeo REST API (https://seedeo.ai/api/v1) exposes all of them behind one POST /videos endpoint. Pick the model with the "model" field and poll GET /tasks/{task_id} for the result.

Can Claude generate songs with Suno through MCP?

Yes. The generate_music tool uses Suno V4 to V5. Describe the song, or use custom mode with your own lyrics, title and style. Set instrumental: true for music without vocals. Each request returns two tracks.

Can ChatGPT connect directly to Seedeo MCP?

Seedeo MCP authenticates with an API key in the Authorization header. If your ChatGPT setup cannot send that header, use the Seedeo REST API instead, for example from a custom GPT Action with API key (Bearer) authentication: start a task, then read GET /v1/tasks/{task_id}.

Do I need to install anything to run the server?

No. Seedeo is a remote MCP server over Streamable HTTP, so there is no local process. Only Claude Desktop needs the small mcp-remote bridge to send the Authorization header.

How long does generation take and how do I get the result?

Tasks are asynchronous. Images usually take 10–60 seconds, music 1–3 minutes and videos 1–5 minutes. Call get_task (MCP) or GET /v1/tasks/{task_id} (REST) until the status is "success" to get the output URLs.

Is it safe to give my API key to an MCP client?

The key only allows generating media and reading your own tasks and balance on Seedeo. Store it in your client config or an environment variable, never share it in chat, and revoke it anytime in Account → API & MCP.
