In your creative workflow

A better starting point. One conversation away.

Bring Nabit's references into the tools you already use.

Find your next opening.

Ask for video references that fit your product and the interests you choose to save.

02 / UNDERSTAND

Know what to borrow.

Explore why an opening works and how its idea could fit your own product.

03 / KEEP UP

Make discovery a habit.

Use a Codex scheduled task to bring you up to five new picks on your chosen days.

Get connected

Bring Nabitinto Codex.

Install the Nabit plugin, connect your Nabit account, and ask for your first references.

This release uses Nabit's existing member sign-in. New connections request current workspace access for recommendations, products, credits and trends. Existing single-product connections must reconnect and approve this scope to use current recommendations. Review the permissions before continuing.

Already installed? Check for updates →

Install the Nabit plugin.

Add Nabit's Git plugin source, then install the plugin in Codex.

codex plugin marketplace add https://github.com/Crimson-Pass/nabit-codex-plugin.git --ref main
codex plugin add nabit-video-recommendation@nabit-oauth

Using tools requires an active workspace trial or subscription; recommendations also use credits. View plans.

v0.5.5 · Production package

View the plugin source ↗ · Previously installed from a ZIP? Migrate your existing source first.

Need a downloadable package?

The ZIP remains available as a fallback. Its README explains local installation; Git refresh is available after migrating to the Git source.

Download v0.5.5

If you have the older local Nabit plugin installed, disable it in Codex so only one Nabit plugin is active.

Connect your Nabit account.

Codex may ask you to connect during installation. Otherwise, mention Nabit in a conversation: the plugin starts the sign-in flow when your connection is missing or expired.

In the browser, sign in to your Nabit account, review current workspace access, and select Allow connection. Nabit checks the live connection before fetching references.

If Codex cannot open the connection flow

Use this fallback command, then complete the browser consent:

codex mcp login nabit

If the current conversation cannot reload its tools after sign-in, start a new one. You can review or revoke access in Nabit at any time.

Ask for your first references.

Use the product facts in your current conversation, then tell your agent which references you want to inspect or keep. Matching and tracking use the same prices, credits and limits as Nabit.

Use Nabit Video Recommendations with the product information in this conversation. Find or create the appropriate Nabit product, then suggest useful video references. Include a viewing link, why each one fits, and an idea I could adapt.

Prefer a direct MCP connection (Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code)?

Connect any Streamable HTTP MCP host directly to https://nabit.ai/mcp without the plugin's bundled Codex workflows, then complete Nabit's browser OAuth sign-in.

codex mcp add nabit --url https://nabit.ai/mcp
codex mcp login nabit

Plugin updates

Keep Nabitup to date.

Latest version: v0.5.5
Released October 31, 2026

Git keeps the plugin source refreshable. You choose when to update; Nabit does not silently replace the plugin while you work.

See what changed.

v0.5.5 removes the retired source-research tools, leaving 31 available tools. The compatibility recommendation reader now uses current matching batches. New connections clearly request workspace access; legacy product grants require explicit reauthorization for current recommendations, credits and trends. Plan requirements are shown separately from connection errors.

Compatible older versions can keep working. Server improvements take effect without reinstalling the plugin.

Refresh and install the update.

If you installed from the Git source, run these commands:

codex plugin marketplace upgrade nabit-oauth
codex plugin add nabit-video-recommendation@nabit-oauth

The first command refreshes the Git source; the second installs its package. Check the version reported by installation, then start a new Codex conversation. Your existing authorization stays in place. New management and paid capabilities require explicit workspace consent; reconnect for that upgrade when requested.

Check your installed version.

Ask Nabit to check for updates in Codex, or run:

codex plugin list --marketplace nabit-oauth --json

The website cannot read the plugin installed on your computer.

Using an older source? Move to the public Git source once.

If your existing nabit-oauth source is a local folder or an older package, replace it with the public Git source:

codex plugin marketplace remove nabit-oauth
codex plugin marketplace add https://github.com/Crimson-Pass/nabit-codex-plugin.git --ref main
codex plugin add nabit-video-recommendation@nabit-oauth

This keeps the same plugin identity and Nabit production server address. It does not revoke your account authorization or delete your old downloaded folder. Use a new conversation after migration.

If Git cannot be reached, restore the original source with codex plugin marketplace add /path/to/your/previous/folder. Do not uninstall the plugin or delete credentials to update it.

On your schedule

Your next reference.Ready when you are.

Once your account is connected, ask Codex to set up a recurring Nabit digest. Spend less time searching for a starting point.

You choose the time and timezone in Codex. Installing the plugin does not turn on a schedule.

A weekday inspiration check-in

Help me create a weekday Nabit video digest. Confirm my preferred time and timezone first. Bind the actual product ID to this task. On each run, read that product's profile and use Nabit's daily digest to return up to five existing video references, with links and a short reason for each. If there are no new picks or my connection has expired, tell me.

The same day's batch stays consistent on repeat runs. Your Codex setup determines when background tasks can run.

A few useful details

Before youget started.

Do I need a Nabit account?

Yes. Sign in with your Nabit account (email, Google, or Apple) and approve access to your current workspace, then select a product for recommendations.

Does Nabit read all my AI conversations?

No. Your agent can send concise product facts from the current task and interests you explicitly choose to save. Nabit does not automatically read your complete Codex or ChatGPT history.

Can the plugin make a finished video?

This release focuses on finding, understanding, and saving video references. Open Nabit to continue your creative work. A reference does not automatically include permission to reuse its footage.

Will a scheduled task run if my computer is off?

For tasks that run locally in Codex desktop, keep the computer on and the app running. The remote Nabit connection does not change where your Codex task runs.

How are capabilities charged?

Connecting is free. Using tools, including reading products, requires an active workspace trial or subscription. Recommendations also use credits. Matching, trends and configured updates use Nabit's existing product prices, credit settlement, quotas and budgets. Reading an existing batch may settle credits previously reserved for it. The plugin does not add a separate wallet or surcharge.

How do I disconnect?

Open Connected apps in Nabit and revoke the grant. You can also disable the plugin and pause its scheduled tasks in Codex. Your saved references stay in Nabit.
