Gold answers you can check
FiLot gives AI assistants such as Claude real gold facts to answer with. Ask for the world gold price in your own currency, zakat on your gold, or the gold price on a past date. For Indonesia, ask what dealers pay for a bar and what the gold tax rules are. Every price answer comes with a link that shows the numbers FiLot really gave, so you can check what your assistant tells you. FiLot can also check a gold bar record against the public Solana blockchain. No account, no login. Answers in English or Bahasa Indonesia.
Technically, this is a public, read-only MCP server: the standard way an AI assistant connects to an outside tool.

Why FiLot is different
Our bet is that people will increasingly ask an AI assistant about gold before they search or call a dealer, so we put FiLot where the question is asked. Most gold answers from an AI are just words on a screen, and you cannot tell where the number came from. With FiLot, each price answer ends with a Check this answer link. It opens a page that shows the numbers FiLot really gave, so you can compare them with what your assistant said. Every number is worked out by fixed rules, not by an AI model, and names its source. A FiLot gold bar record is checked against the Solana blockchain, where its fingerprint was sealed. That checks the record, never the metal: a buyer should still have the bar tested.
Server address
Paste this address into your assistant:
https://mcp.filot.me/mcp
For developers: the same server also answers at https://api.filot.me/functions/v1/filot-mcp. It is remote MCP over Streamable HTTP with JSON replies, and it needs no authentication. Protocol versions: 2026-07-28, 2025-11-25, 2025-06-18 and 2025-03-26. It is also listed in the official MCP Registry as me.filot/gold, and it has a server card for automatic discovery.
Add it to Claude
FiLot is in Claude’s connector directory, as a community connector. In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, switch to Discover, search for FiLot and add it. See FiLot in the directory. You can also add it by its address: choose Add, then Add custom connector, name it FiLot and paste the server address above. Then ask about gold, for example “What is the gold price per gram in Singapore dollars today?”. Added FiLot before? Open it under Connectors and choose Refresh tools list to get the newest tools. Any other assistant that supports MCP connectors works the same way: paste the same address.
Tools
FiLot has seven tools. All of them only read. None of them can buy, sell or move money, and none of them touches a FiLot account.
World gold price in any currency world_gold_price
Today’s world gold price for one gram, one troy ounce and one kilogram of pure gold, in the currency you ask for, with the time it was read. It is built from the gold price in US dollars (gold-api.com) and that day’s exchange rate (open.er-api.com). It shows the world market, not what any dealer pays or charges.
What it needs: currency (optional: a three-letter code such as USD, EUR, SGD, AUD, GBP, MYR or IDR; USD if you leave it out), lang (optional: en or id)
Try: “What is the gold price per gram in Singapore dollars today?” or “How much is one troy ounce of gold in euros right now?”
Zakat on your gold gold_zakat
Works out the zakat on your gold. It uses a nisab of 85 grams of pure gold (or 595 grams of silver, if your scholars follow that), a rate of 2.5 percent, and a full hijri year of ownership. It takes bars and jewellery, by karat or by fineness. For worn jewellery scholars differ: the Hanafi school counts it, while the Shafi’i, Maliki and Hanbali schools generally do not. So unless you say which view you follow, FiLot shows both answers. In Indonesia your gold is valued at the latest Antam buyback price, and everywhere else at the world gold price in your currency. This is a calculation, not a fatwa: ask a scholar or your zakat body about your own case. FiLot keeps no copy of a zakat answer.
What it needs: items (for each: grams, and optionally form, karat or fineness, worn), worn_jewellery (optional: show_both, exempt or zakatable), nisab (optional: gold or silver), currency, country, haul_start_date (the day your gold first reached the nisab), lang
Try: “I have a 100 gram Antam bar and 60 grams of 22K jewellery that I wear. How much zakat do I owe?”
In Bahasa Indonesia: “Berapa zakat emas saya kalau punya 120 gram emas batangan?”
Gold price on a past date gold_price_on_date
The gold price on a day in the past, for your own notes, such as a purchase, an inheritance or a tax return. You get the world price of pure gold in any currency from FiLot’s own daily record (kept since 22 October 2026) and, for Indonesia, the Antam buyback price dealers paid that day (kept since 25 September 2026). It is FiLot’s own record, not an official rate, and it comes with a link to check it.
What it needs: date (YYYY-MM-DD), currency (optional, USD if you leave it out), lang (optional: en or id)
Try: “What was the gold price per gram in US dollars on 22 October 2026?”
In Bahasa Indonesia: “Berapa harga buyback Antam pada 1 Oktober 2026?”
Check a FiLot gold bar record verify_gold_bar_record
When someone saves a gold bar in FiLot, FiLot makes a fingerprint of its record, and every night that there is something new it seals a code made from those fingerprints on the public Solana blockchain. This tool takes the owner’s share link (or a delivery check link) and checks the record in it against that seal, so a buyer can see that the record existed by a date and has not changed since. A serial number alone is never checked, so a copied serial cannot “prove” a different bar. This checks the record, never the metal: a buyer must still test the bar itself.
What it needs: link (the whole link, exactly as given: a FiLot share link, filot.me/verify#p=…, or a delivery check link, filot.me/delivery#c=…)
Try: “A seller sent me this FiLot link for a gold bar. Is the record real? https://filot.me/verify#p=…”

Dealer buyback prices for one bar gold_buyback_prices
What dealers pay today to buy back one bar of a given brand and weight. You get the highest price that fits every bar of that brand, then any higher price that fits only some bars (for example Antam made in 2026), each with its dealer, day and time, and how far that highest price sits below or above the world value of the gold. If you give a price someone offered for your bar, it is set beside the dealer price and the world value, in numbers only: FiLot does not say whether to accept. If no dealer prices that brand, you get an estimate from the world gold price, marked as not a dealer offer. Today this covers dealers in Indonesia, in rupiah.
What it needs: brand (for example Antam, UBS, Lotus Archi, Galeri 24, Sampoerna, King Halim or PAMP), grams (the weight of one bar), offer_idr (optional: a price in rupiah someone offered for the bar), lang (optional: en or id)
Try: “What would a dealer pay for my Antam 10 gram bar today?” or “Someone offered me Rp 20 million for my Antam 10 gram bar. How does that compare with what dealers pay?”
In Bahasa Indonesia: “Berapa harga buyback UBS 5 gram hari ini?”

Gold tax facts indonesian_gold_tax
Tax facts for physical gold bars in Indonesia: VAT, income tax when you buy, what applies to individual buyers, selling back, the two Rp 10 million rules (one for selling to a gold bank, one for selling back to Antam), stamp duty and Antam’s own buyback deduction, each with its legal reference. Written by BULI2, a gold bar supplier, and not yet reviewed by a tax consultant. General information, not tax advice: check your own case with a tax adviser.
What it needs: lang (optional: en or id)
Try: “Is there VAT on gold bars in Indonesia?”
In Bahasa Indonesia: “Apakah ada pajak saat menjual emas ke Butik Antam?”
Where FiLot’s dealer prices come from gold_price_sources
Which dealer websites FiLot reads (three times a day), which products it takes from each, and the latest day of prices.
What it needs: nothing
Try: “Where do FiLot’s gold prices come from?”
How the answers are made
Every number is worked out by fixed rules. No AI model works out or changes a price, and the dealer websites are read by plain code, not by AI. The assistant you use then puts the answer into words. The world gold price comes from gold-api.com (US dollars) and open.er-api.com (exchange rates), and FiLot keeps its own record of it every day (the day’s last reading, since 22 October 2026): that record is where the gold price on a past date comes from. For dealer prices, FiLot reads the dealers’ own websites three times a day and keeps what it reads (since 25 September 2026). Today these are Galeri 24 (including its Sentra Buyback), Aneka Logam and Sampoerna Gold, all in Indonesia. Every dealer price names its dealer, day and time. Prices from websites that ask AI assistants to stay out are never passed on.
Zakat follows one published rule: a nisab of 85 grams of pure gold (or 595 grams of silver, if you choose it) and a rate of 2.5 percent once the gold has been owned one hijri year, valued at the Antam buyback price in Indonesia and at the world price elsewhere. It is a calculation, not a fatwa. These are prices and facts, never investment or tax advice; a dealer sets the final price after checking the bar.
The same dealer prices are on a public page people can read: the live price page.
Check an answer
Price answers (the world price, dealer prices, the list of sources, tax facts and the price on a date) end with a Check this answer link. It opens FiLot’s check page, which fetches FiLot’s saved copy of that signed answer and checks its signature in your browser with FiLot’s public key. If the numbers were changed after FiLot signed them, the check fails. Then compare the numbers on the page with what your assistant told you: if they differ, the assistant did not pass them on correctly. A passing check shows these are the numbers FiLot gave. It does not show that the price itself is right; the sources above tell you where it came from. Zakat answers and bar record checks carry no link, because FiLot keeps no copy of them; you can still paste any answer on the check page.
For developers: an Ed25519 JSON Web Signature (compact JWS, EdDSA) whose payload is the answer itself without its signature field.
Limits
The server answers up to 60 calls a minute. Above that it asks you to slow down, and you can try again a minute later. A call never reaches a dealer’s website: dealer prices come from the prices FiLot has already stored.
Privacy
FiLot receives only what each tool needs: a currency, a brand and weight, grams and karat for zakat, a date, an offer price you choose to give, or a share link. So that a Check this answer link works, FiLot keeps a copy of its own signed price answers under a random code (an offer price you gave is part of that answer). It never keeps a zakat answer or a bar record check, and nothing that identifies you. It counts calls by tool and by the app name the assistant gives itself, never by person, and it never sees your conversation with the assistant. To stop overload, a scrambled form of the caller’s internet address is held in memory for one minute and is never stored. The details are in our privacy policy, in the section The price page and FiLot for AI assistants.
