SitesPlaced MCP serverLive

Connect SitesPlaced to ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, or any MCP-compatible AI client and manage your websites and online stores by chatting. Your assistant can create a site from a brief, rewrite sections, manage products, and publish — using the same rules and limits as the dashboard.

Connector URL

https://sitesplaced.com/api/mcp

Authentication is OAuth: when you add the connector, you'll be asked to sign in to your SitesPlaced account and approve access. No API keys to copy. You can revoke access anytime from your account settings.

How to connect

  • ChatGPT — Settings → Apps & Connectors → enable Developer mode → Create connector → paste the URL above.
  • Claude (claude.ai) — Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector → paste the URL above.
  • Claude Code — claude mcp add --transport http sitesplaced https://sitesplaced.com/api/mcp, then run /mcp to sign in.
  • Cursor — add { "mcpServers": { "sitesplaced": { "url": "https://sitesplaced.com/api/mcp" } } } to .cursor/mcp.json.

Try saying

  • “Build me a portfolio website for a freelance photographer and publish it.”
  • “Create an online store for my bakery with these 5 products.”
  • “Rewrite my site's hero section to sound more premium.”
  • “Add a 20% off sale price to every product in my store.”
  • “Hide everything in my Diwali category until next year.”
  • “Write a blog post on caring for a silk saree and save it as a draft.”
  • “Draft replies to my unanswered reviews and show me before posting.”
  • “How do I charge extra for cash on delivery?” — answered from our Help Center.

Available tools (43)

The AI Co-founder tools are the interesting part. Credits pay for our model calls, so when your assistant does the thinking there is nothing of ours to bill: reading your numbers, rewriting your SEO, saving it back and scheduling a promotion all cost zero credits here. Only generate_store_image spends them, because that one really does bill an image model. The AI Co-founder plan is still required, and sending broadcasts is deliberately left out: that mails real customers, and a tool call has no confirmation step a person actually sees.

Scope & safety

  • The connector only ever sees and edits sites owned by the account you sign in with.
  • Billing, plan changes, custom domains, tracking scripts, and customer/order data are not accessible through MCP.
  • Publishing follows the same plan rules as the dashboard — if an upgrade is needed, your assistant gets a link to the pricing page instead.
  • Destructive actions (deleting a site, product or blog post) require explicit confirmation.
  • Blog posts are written in plain Markdown — any HTML or script an assistant sends is shown as text, never run on your store.
  • Reviews come through without the reviewer's email or order details. Payment, courier and WhatsApp keys are only ever entered in your dashboard, never in a chat.
  • Some settings need a paid plan to show on your live store. Your assistant is told when a change was saved but will not appear yet, so it cannot report it as done.
