MCP Server

Bring your RiverScript transcripts to any AI agent.

RiverScript has two Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers: one for the transcripts in your own account, and one for transcripts shared via a RiverScript share link. Both work with ChatGPT, Claude, and any other MCP-compatible client.

Translations made in RiverScript are transcripts in their own right: they appear in every tool alongside the originals, with their own id and language.

Your own transcripts

Add it as a connector in your assistant. You are sent to RiverScript to sign in and approve the connection.

The connection lasts 30 days and renews while the app is in use. You can disconnect an app at any time in Settings → API, which cuts its access off immediately.

Tools

list_transcripts: browse your most recent finished transcripts and translations by title, date, language and duration.

search_transcripts: find where a word or phrase was said across your transcripts and translations, with the passage around each match and the transcript it came from.

get_transcript: the full text of one transcript or translation, by its id.

get_transcript_summary: the summary and key points RiverScript generated for a transcript.

Shared transcripts

Open to any assistant. Give it a RiverScript share link and it returns the transcript.

get_shared_transcript

Takes a RiverScript share link (the full URL or the bare token) and returns the transcript text, with title, language and creation date when available.

Works the same way for translations. A shared link may point at either an original transcript or an AI translation; both are returned identically.

Transport

Both servers use the Streamable HTTP transport and speak JSON-RPC over POST.
