“Use RetailIntel: what is in this morning’s Indian retail brief? Top 3 moves, one line each on what it means, with the number.”

Renault Duster strong hybrid E-Tech 160 — bookings open at ₹21,000, ahead of the 17 Oct debut; signals Renault’s first strong-hybrid push into the diesel-SUV segment. (14 outlets) (RetailIntel)

Toyota 2026 Fortuner Leader Edition — launched at Rs 36.51 lakh (4x2 manual, ex-showroom), bookings open 12 Oct; premium SUV dealers should brace for demand/stock allocation. (11 outlets) (RetailIntel)

ChatGPT

On chatgpt.com, on the web. We set it up on a Free account.

In the ChatGPT sidebar, open “Plugins”, choose “Add” (top right), then “Add custom MCP server”.

Name it RetailIntel and paste this as the Server URL:

https://retailintel.in/mcp

Set Authentication to “No authentication” and tick “I understand and want to continue”.

Choose “Create as a plugin”, then “Connect”.

You should see: RetailIntel under Installed on the Plugins page.

In a new chat, choose + and then RetailIntel, and ask.

Claude Code

Anthropic’s assistant in your terminal.

Add RetailIntel once, for every folder you work in:

claude mcp add --transport http --scope user retailintel https://retailintel.in/mcp

Check it:

claude mcp list

You should see:

retailintel: https://retailintel.in/mcp (HTTP) - ✔ Connected

Start claude and ask. The first time it looks something up, it asks to use the RetailIntel tools: allow them.

Codex CLI

OpenAI’s assistant in your terminal.

Add RetailIntel once:

codex mcp add retailintel --url https://retailintel.in/mcp

Check it:

codex mcp list

You should see:

retailintel listed with Status enabled

Start codex and ask.

OpenCode

The open-source assistant for your terminal, with any model.

Save this as opencode.json in your project (or add the mcp part to the one you have):

{
  "mcp": {
    "retailintel": {
      "type": "remote",
      "url": "https://retailintel.in/mcp",
      "enabled": true
    }
  }
}

Check it from that folder:

opencode mcp list

You should see:

✓ retailintel connected

Start opencode in that folder and ask.

Ask

  1. Compare DMart and Reliance Retail over the last 7 days. What moved for each, and what does it mean for a retail decision? Copy
  2. Use RetailIntel: what is in this morning’s Indian retail brief? Top 3 moves, one line each on what it means, with the number. Copy
  3. Find the most recent funding news about Zepto and give me the full read: what happened, why it matters, what to watch, the source. Copy

If it answers from memory instead, start your question with “Use RetailIntel:”.

Sign in for more than 50 lookups a day

A free RetailIntel account gets 100 lookups a day; Pro gets 5,000. Add the account address, then sign in: your tool opens RetailIntel in your browser once, to sign in or create the free account.

The account address

https://retailintel.in/mcp/account

From ChatGPT

Only if you already added it with “No authentication”: remove that one first, in Settings → Plugins → RetailIntel → “Delete app”.

Add it with the ChatGPT steps above, but set Authentication to “OAuth”. The Server URL stays https://retailintel.in/mcp, not the account address.

Choose “Create as a plugin”, then “Continue to RetailIntel”, sign in, and choose “Allow”.

You should see: Your email under Connected accounts in Settings → Plugins → RetailIntel.

From Claude Code

Add the account address:

claude mcp add --transport http --scope user retailintel-account https://retailintel.in/mcp/account
claude mcp login retailintel-account

You should see:
