Manthan

Manthan exposes an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server so an AI agent can list and create your concept-card decks directly — no browser, no web UI, just a client and an API key.

Authentication

Requests need a personal API key as a bearer token: Authorization: Bearer mtn_.... Generate one from the Developer tab in your account's profile panel inside the Manthan app — keys can be revoked at any time from the same place.

list_manthan_decks

List your Manthan decks — id, name, card count, status, and folder_id (or "none" if the deck is at the root). No input.

list_cards_in_deck

List a deck's cards (id, title), given a deck_id — the id/title pairs you'll need to call edit_manthan_card.

list_manthan_folders

List your Manthan folders — id, name, and parent_folder_id (or "none (root)") — the id source for move_manthan_deck 's folder_id argument. No input.

import_manthan_cards

Create a new deck from a list of cards (title, content, optional tags / prerequisites) — the same direct-import path the JSON upload uses, so it doesn't spend any AI-generation quota. Titles are capped at 36 characters (the card's displayed width) — keep it to 2-6 words. content can include a fenced ```lang ... ``` code block, rendered with its own background instead of being wrapped into prose — keep it short, the card is only 36 characters wide.

add_manthan_card

Add a single card to a deck that already exists, given a deck_id from list_manthan_decks, plus title, content and optional tags / prerequisites. Use import_manthan_cards instead when you want a whole new deck — this one is for growing a deck you already have.

edit_manthan_card

Edit an existing card's title / content and/or replace its tags / prerequisites — provide just the fields you want to change. content supports the same fenced code block convention as import_manthan_cards.

move_manthan_deck

Move a deck into a folder, or to the root if folder_id is omitted. Pass a folder_id from list_manthan_folders.

Replace <your-key> with a key from the Developer tab.

Turn on Developer mode in Settings → Security and login, then add a plugin from the MCP server URL below. ChatGPT signs you in through your SiRune account — no API key needed.

Add to your editor's MCP config file.

Point any MCP-compatible client at the endpoint above using Streamable HTTP. Authenticate either with an API key as a bearer token, or through OAuth — the server publishes standard discovery metadata, so clients that support it will find the login flow on their own.
