Works with any MCP client

Agents that browse need more than a headless browser.

  • They run in parallel and must not leak cookies or logins into each other.
  • Websites push back. A bare automation browser announces itself.
  • They need to log in, and a password in the prompt is a password in the transcript.
  • They get stuck on CAPTCHAs, 2FA prompts and judgment calls.
  • You need to see what they did, after the fact and live.

43 MCP tools. One local server.Every hard part handled.

01

Isolated sessions

One Chromium process and context per session: separate cookies, storage, IndexedDB and service workers. In memory by default, persistent profiles on request.

02

Logins the model never sees

The agent names a Bitwarden entry. BrowserHive checks origin, session and principal, types the credential and returns only a status.

03

Human takeover

request_attention blocks the agent while you drive its browser live, then resolves with a message back.

04

Stealth, honestly scoped

Full Chromium in new-headless mode with Patchright, automation flags removed and a user agent derived from your real host. The limits are documented.

From zero to a browsing agent in three commands.

  1. 1

    Install

Requires Bun 1.4 or newer. Installing with npm or pnpm works too. bun add -g browserhive
  2. 2

    Initialize

Downloads Chromium, creates the data directory and checks the host. browserhive init
  3. 3

    Run and connect

MCP and the dashboard share one port. The first start prints a one-time dashboard password. browserhive --admin
claude mcp add --transport http browserhive http://127.0.0.1:9876/mcp

then ask your agent: “launch a session and open example.com”
