What is CGSync?

CGSync is a platform that connects CG and VFX freelance artists with studios and employers. Artists can list their availability, skills, and rates while employers post jobs and book talent. CGSync handles the entire workflow from discovery through negotiation to confirmed bookings.

Installation

Quick start (no install)

CGSYNC_API_KEY=your_key npx @cgsync/mcp-server

Global install

npm install -g @cgsync/mcp-server CGSYNC_API_KEY=your_key cgsync-mcp

Configuration

Claude Desktop

Add to your Claude Desktop config (~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json on macOS, %APPDATA%\Claude\claude_desktop_config.json on Windows):

Available Tools

Tool	Description
search_jobs	Search open CG/VFX job listings with filters for location, skills, rates, and dates
search_artists	Find available freelance artists by skills, location, rate range, and availability
get_job_details	Get full details of a specific job posting including requirements and company info
get_artist_profile	Get complete artist profile with bio, skills, portfolio, and availability
invite_artist	Invite an artist to apply for your job (employer accounts)
apply_to_job	Apply to a job as an artist with optional cover message and proposed rate
negotiate_booking	Propose rates, dates, accept, decline, or counter-offer on bookings
get_booking_status	Check current status, negotiation history, and details of a booking
list_my_bookings	List all your active bookings with optional status filter

Environment Variables

Requirements
