Documentation
One decision engine.Clear ways to use it.
Start with the Decision API. Choose an interface or a specialized service for your job. Your application still owns the action; MCP does not change that boundary.
The product owns the interface
MCP, REST, and SDK are ways to use a product. They do not decide who owns it. Decide has a general runtime and standalone services; Krafthaus adds optional workflows built on Decide.
Decide Runtime
Evaluate approved rules
The released paid MCP evaluates and saves account-owned decisions. The older private Decision API preview is a separate access contract, not the live onboarding path.
Decide Services
Check a specific domain
Standalone services with domain inputs, approved rules, and evidence. Policy Notaries is the existing family; its MCP and REST interfaces belong to Decide.
Krafthaus workflows
Take the next step
Intake, human review, integration, and execution handoff. Any workflow-specific API, MCP, or agent belongs to that application. Direct Decide calls do not require Krafthaus.
Choose by job, access and data ownership
Availability is explicit. Production API access, private MCP access, free test records and reference examples are not interchangeable.
Decision API
Check a proposed action against your approved rules and supplied facts; receive yes, no or review with a Decision Record.
Decide checks and records. Your application owns execution.
See API pricing and request production access. Sandbox units are not paid production credit.
Connection and data scope
Interfaces
REST, SDK
Authentication
Production API credentials in a server-side caller.
Data
Customer-supplied facts and versioned rules; tenant-scoped records.
Client support
Server-side HTTP callers and the JavaScript SDK; MCP access is listed separately.

Decide Runtime
Evaluate supplied facts against approved deterministic rules, save yes, no or review, and read or export your own decision records.
Evaluation saves a record and may debit its prepaid unit. Decide never executes the proposed external action.
USD 10 for 1,000 completed records including applicable tax. Reads and identical retries add no record debit; separate request limits apply. No subscription or automatic refill.
Connection and data scope
Interfaces
MCP
Authentication
OAuth with PKCE, your own business account and a separately approved evaluate/read allowance.
Data
Account-owned records. Supported business markets: EU27, UK and US; controlled 25-account pilot.
Client support
Compatible remote MCP clients. Installation, OAuth connection and owner spending allowance are separate steps; client-specific setup is below.

Legacy Decision API MCP preview
Let an enrolled MCP client evaluate approved rules, retrieve its own Decision Records and verify records.
May create decision records; does not execute downstream actions.
Preview access and applicable API pricing must be agreed separately.
Connection and data scope
Interfaces
MCP
Authentication
Tenant-scoped production identity and an explicit preview allowlist.
Data
Customer-owned records. Not the public policy lookup service.
Client support
Legacy enrolled API clients only. Separate from the released Decide Runtime OAuth endpoint.

Decide Policy Notaries
Look up source-backed refund, cancellation, return and trial terms for supported vendors.
Eligibility information is not permission to refund, cancel or change an account.
Public lookup access; current service limits apply. A lookup is not paid runtime usage.
Connection and data scope
Interfaces
MCP, REST
Authentication
No authentication required for the public MCP endpoint.
Data
Supported vendor policy evidence; no customer Decision Records are read or changed.
Client support
MCP clients supporting Streamable HTTP; one canonical server exposes four tools.

Decide Runtime — Free Sandbox
Try contextual examples or your own declarative rules, then read and retry the same saved record without consuming a second unit.
No live payment, production access or external action.
10 free test records on activation; a 30-minute key. Rotation does not reset the allowance.
Connection and data scope
Interfaces
Browser, REST
Authentication
Your own account, separate sandbox consent and separate test-key activation.
Data
Account-scoped test records. Use fictional data, not production customer information.
Client support
Hosted browser and downloadable Node.js trial client. Scoped sandbox MCP instructions are inside the trial; OAuth-only client compatibility is not claimed.

Krafthaus workflow applications
Combine workflow intake, human review, integrations and execution handoff around a decision.
Workflow-specific APIs, MCPs and agents belong to the application, not the general engine.
App-specific terms. Krafthaus is optional for direct Decide integrations.
Connection and data scope
Interfaces
Application-specific
Authentication
Each application controls its own access and integrations.

SDK, verification and examples
Supporting resources, not additional live services or MCP servers.
JavaScript SDK
Integrate Decision API calls and local record verification using the published JavaScript package.
An integration library, not a separate hosted MCP server.
Open-source package; installing it does not grant free production API calls.
Connection and data scope
Interfaces
Node.js, CLI
Authentication
No account to install; hosted API calls need applicable credentials.
Data
Local code and supplied records; hosted calls follow their service's data boundary.
Client support
See SDK documentation for supported runtimes and package exports.

Decision Record verification
Inspect record verification material and learn how to check hashes and authenticity.
Verification is not a new approval or permission to execute an action.
Supporting verification resource, not an additional paid decision service.
Connection and data scope
Interfaces
Browser, SDK, CLI
Authentication
See the chosen verification surface; offline SDK checks need no hosted login.
Data
Only inspect records you are authorized to share; prefer offline checks for private data.
Client support
Hosted utility and documented SDK verification tools; not a new standalone MCP.

Decide Directory: wider decision infrastructure
A curated directory of decision engines and the infrastructure around them. Authorization, workflow, discovery and testing tools are adjacent infrastructure, not necessarily deterministic verdict engines. This is not an exhaustive list of everything deterministic.
The Decide and Krafthaus offerings above are ours. The independent entries below belong to their own maintainers. This directory hosts references, not third-party execution, security certification or tested interoperability.

The Decision infrastructure guide carries the same reviewed sources and contribution criteria. New entries need a real public product or standard, a primary source, a clear role and an explicit limitation; examples and planned MCPs are not live services.
Policy Notaries connection
Configure one canonical Streamable HTTP server. Specialist subdomains remain compatibility surfaces; new integrations should use the unified endpoint.

USD 10 for 1,000 completed decisions
The released prepaid MCP is separate from the earlier private-preview API contract below and the fictional Sandbox connectors. It evaluates supplied facts and approved rules, saves yes, no or review, and reads or exports your own records. It does not execute external actions.
USD 0.01 per completed record, including applicable tax. Reads and identical retries add no record debit; separate request limits apply. No subscription or automatic refill. Controlled 25-account business pilot: EU27, UK and US.
- Sign in at the Runtime console, accept the current terms, and choose your own account spending cap.
- Review Checkout for one pack. Returning from Checkout alone is not funding proof.
- Add
https://mcp-live.decide.fyi/developer-prepaid/v1/mcpin your compatible MCP client, authenticate with OAuth/PKCE, and separately approve its evaluate/read allowance in the console.
Tools: decide_prepaid_evaluate, decide_prepaid_get_record, decide_prepaid_export_record. Never put credentials into prompts or tool arguments. Connecting alone grants no budget.
One live endpoint
https://mcp-live.decide.fyi/developer-prepaid/v1/mcp
Use the same endpoint for evaluation, reading and export. Do not connect a qualification or Free Sandbox plugin when you intend to use paid credit.
ChatGPT and Codex
Add a custom remote MCP connection using the endpoint above. Review the client warning and OAuth consent yourself. Use the registered live client configuration if your client asks for an OAuth client ID; Sandbox client configuration is not interchangeable. A custom connection is not a public directory listing.
Name it Decide Runtime. Keep testing connections explicitly labelled Sandbox.
Claude
Add a custom connector with the same URL and follow the OAuth flow. Client-specific OAuth registration must be accepted before tools can load. An account, connection or successful login alone does not fund evaluation.
VS Code
Run MCP: Add Server, choose HTTP, enter the live endpoint and name it decide-runtime. Review trust and OAuth prompts. Official setup guide.
Cursor
Add a remote server in MCP settings using this configuration, then authenticate. This is connection configuration, not a guarantee that every client registration is already admitted.
{ "mcpServers": { "decide-runtime": { "url": "https://mcp-live.decide.fyi/developer-prepaid/v1/mcp" } } }
Your first useful check
Ask: “Check this quote against the discount and margin rules I provide. Save the decision; do not update my CRM.” Supply the actual Rulebook facts/rules. Keep the returned operation ID and exact input for reads, exports and identical retries. Do not ask an agent to invent your business policy.
Connected, but a call is refused?
- invalid_client: client registration or redirect configuration was not accepted. Do not change your spending budget or paste credentials into chat.
- No active allowance: select that client in the console and review a separate evaluate/read allowance. Renewal does not refill prior spend.
- No spendable credit: review saved funding, account cap and client allowance. The agent must not buy credit or raise caps for you.
- 429: stop automatic retries. Reads and discovery count toward request limits even though they do not debit another completed record.
- no, review, missing facts or unavailable: do not execute the proposed action. Supply missing facts or use your own exception policy.
Full records are available for 90 days with export. Each purchase has 12 months to redeem; unused credit is refundable to the original payment. Terms · Privacy · Machine-readable offer
Legacy Decision API MCP preview
This older private API contract is not the released Decide Runtime above. Existing enrolled API integrations keep their original boundary; new paid Runtime customers should use Connect your agent. No private preview endpoint is published.
| Boundary | Private-preview contract |
|---|---|
| Identity | Transport credentials map to a Decision API customer and tenant. |
| Authorization | Production access requires an explicit preview allowlist; cross-tenant records fail closed. |
| Tool arguments | Credentials never belong in prompts, tool arguments, or example payloads. |
| Discovery | No public endpoint, public directory submission, or broad authenticated-access claim during preview. |
| Access | Request API and preview access. |
Machine-readable visibility
The public MCP directory publishes separate entries for live Decide Runtime and public read-only Policy Notaries. The legacy private API preview retains access metadata only, with no private endpoint leak.
This directory separates our products from independently reviewed infrastructure. The GitHub guide and machine-readable catalogue use the same ecosystem sources. Listings and llms.txt do not automatically connect an agent, grant access or authorize payment.
