OAuth 2.1 or a key

Sign in once, or send an API key from a server or CI.

Connect any MCP clientOne URL, two ways to sign in.

The server lives at https://api.breakreach.com/mcp and speaks Streamable HTTP, so there is nothing to install. Clients that support OAuth 2.1 register themselves (dynamic client registration with PKCE) and send you to Breakreach's sign-in; their redirect address must be https, or http on localhost. Any other client sends an API key from Settings, API & MCP as Authorization: Bearer br_….

Signed in with OAuth before you subscribe, the reading tools work and the publishing ones answer with a link to the plans. API keys need an active plan or trial.

The Breakreach skill for your agentHow to post well, written down once.

The MCP server gives your agent the tools; the Breakreach skill tells it how to use them. It looks up account ids before posting, reads times in the workspace timezone, sends the media each network needs, asks before publishing anything unclear, and puts an idempotency key on every post so a retry never posts twice.

Where the MCP server isn't set up, in a CI job or a cron, the skill uses the npx breakreach command line with an API key instead.

npx skills add breakreach/breakreach

MCP server or REST API?Same accounts, same posts.

The MCP server is for a person asking an agent in plain words: “post this tomorrow at 9”, “answer today's comments”, “how did last week go?”. The agent picks the tools, fills the arguments and shows you what it's about to do.

The REST API is for your own code: a release script, a CMS hook, a cron job, a product where your users connect their accounts. Every capability has its page with the real requests and responses, and the full contract is the OpenAPI spec. Both run on the same accounts and the same publishing code, so a post scheduled by an agent shows up in GET /v1/posts.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Short answers about Breakreach for AI agents.

An MCP server gives an AI agent tools it can call. A social media one lets Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, OpenClaw, Hermes, Grok, Claude or ChatGPT publish posts, schedule them, answer comments and DMs and read analytics on your accounts, from a request in plain words.

Any client that speaks MCP over Streamable HTTP. We document Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, OpenClaw, Hermes and Grok here, and Breakreach is listed in Claude's connector directory and ChatGPT's plugin directory.

No. Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, OpenClaw, Hermes and Grok Build all sign in with OAuth. The xAI API takes an API key from Settings, API & MCP, as do scripts, CI jobs and machines where nobody can click through a browser sign-in.

Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, Threads, Pinterest, Bluesky, Reddit, Telegram, Discord, Slack, Mastodon, WordPress, Ghost, Dev.to, Hashnode and Tumblr. Comments work on Instagram, Facebook, Threads and X, and DMs on Instagram, Facebook Messenger and X.

Most clients ask before each tool call unless you allow it. For a second check, ask the agent to save drafts: they wait in Breakreach until a person schedules them.

The MCP server when a person asks an agent in plain words. The REST API when your own code posts on a schedule or reacts to events. They share the same accounts, posts and limits.

Creating an account and connecting your first social account is free. Scheduling and publishing need a plan, from $29 a month for 5 accounts, or the Developer plan at $5 per connected account.
