Every tool in detail

Three sources. The ads, and the posts behind them.

Meta, Google and TikTok, read the same way: the public ads, the brands' organic posts, and the posts that later ran as ads.

  • Meta: Facebook and Instagram ads, and Instagram posts.
  • Google: Google and YouTube ads, and YouTube posts.
  • TikTok: TikTok posts; TikTok ads are not covered.

Examples from the library: Huel (Meta ad), Garmin (Google ad), AG1 (TikTok post), AG1 (YouTube post), Gymshark (Instagram post).

  • No spend, ROAS, reach or targeting: they stay in each advertiser's account.
  • TikTok ads are not covered, only TikTok posts.
  • Instagram posts come from professional accounts, through Meta's official API.

Library records · October 2026: 2.2M+ creative records, 7.5M+ source-ad records, 2.5k+ advertiser profiles, 3 sources: Meta, Google, TikTok.

Good to know

What is an MCP server?

MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is the open standard that lets an AI assistant use outside tools. Adspy's MCP server gives your assistant tools to search ads and posts, read their analysis and keep your research; you connect it once with its URL, www.adspy.sh/mcp.

Which AI assistants work with Adspy?

Claude (claude.ai, desktop and mobile apps), Claude Code (terminal and ide extensions), Codex (cli and ide extension) are tested end to end; in Claude, answers open as views in the chat. Any client that supports remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP can connect, with OAuth or an Adspy API key. ChatGPT and Cursor are coming soon.

Do I need to code?

No. In Claude you paste the server URL in Connectors. In Claude Code or Codex you run one command, or ask the assistant to run it for you. Then you ask in plain words, and the assistant picks the tools.

What does Adspy see of my conversations?

Only what your assistant sends to Adspy's tools, such as a brand name or a search, and the results Adspy returns. The rest of the conversation stays between you and your assistant, whose provider's own terms apply.

Do I need to connect an ad account?

No. Adspy reads public ads from Meta and Google and brands' public TikTok, YouTube and Instagram posts. You connect your AI assistant to Adspy, never your own advertising accounts.

Which platforms are covered?

Meta covers Facebook and Instagram. Google data comes from its Ads Transparency Center and includes available YouTube creatives. Each ad shows its source and the details available for that creative. Adspy also collects the organic posts of brands' TikTok, YouTube and Instagram accounts; TikTok ads are not covered. Starter includes one source of your choice (Meta, Google or TikTok); Pro, Unlimited and Enterprise include all three.

How fresh is the data?

It depends on the brand and the source. Each ad carries the dates Adspy first and last recorded it, so your assistant can tell you how recent a finding is.

Can I research brands from different countries?

Yes. The library includes brands from multiple markets. Coverage depends on what the public source makes available and what has been collected, so it can vary from one brand to another.

Do you show competitor spend or ROAS?

No. Adspy shows observed public advertising, including creatives, recorded activity, and available analysis. Running time can be useful context, but it does not tell you whether an ad is profitable. Spend, conversions, and ROAS stay in the advertiser's own account.

Is there a free plan or trial?

No. Adspy has no free plan or trial. Starter $19, Pro $39 and Unlimited $99 a month, and Enterprise is on contract; you can cancel anytime, and paid access continues until the end of the billing period.

How do additional users work?

Starter, Pro and Unlimited include one user. An extra user is $5 a month on Starter, $15 on Pro and $29 on Unlimited; Enterprise sets users in the contract. Credits belong to the team: everyone in the organization draws on the same monthly allowance, and an extra user adds no credits. Manage the number of users in Billing, then invite people from Team. Reductions take effect at renewal.

What does research cost?

Browsing is included on every plan, with fair use: searching and opening ads with their AI analysis, similar ads, collections, a brand's organic posts with their AI tags, posts run as ads, and files of them cost no credits. Credits pay for results only. A Brand Full Analysis costs 90 credits per brand and range; it reopens free for 24 hours, and so does the brand's social report. A social report asked alone, a Brand X-Ray, or each brand in a comparison, costs 60. Adding a brand the library lacks, or collecting a new social account, costs 400. Starter includes 2,000 credits a month and Pro 6,000; Unlimited has no credit count (fair use), and Enterprise sets its limits in the contract. On Starter and Pro, reading past fair use costs 1 credit per new item until the limit resets; on Unlimited, new items wait for the reset. Your assistant asks before adding a new brand or account.

Can I keep research together with my team?

Yes. Ask your assistant to save ads into collections and add notes in a shared workspace. Teammates with access to that workspace can pick up the research from their own assistant without searching for the same ads again. Additional paid users are billed with your organization's plan.

Can I stop whenever I want?

Yes. Manage or cancel your subscription from Billing. If you cancel, paid access continues until the end of the billing period. Your saved research is kept for when you come back.
