ValuEdge MCP Server

Connect ChatGPT, Claude, and other AI assistants to ValuEdge via MCP.

ValuEdge provides a remote Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that lets supported AI assistants securely use ValuEdge's public research tools and, after authentication, read only the signed-in Unlimited user's portfolio, watchlist, and Smart Alerts data.

Ask for public stock research without an account. Authenticate only when a private ValuEdge context is needed.

The URL points to ValuEdge's remote MCP server. Authentication happens through the ValuEdge sign-in flow when your AI assistant connects.

Model Context Protocol

What is the ValuEdge MCP server?

ValuEdge MCP is the Model Context Protocol interface for ValuEdge. MCP is an open standard that gives AI applications a common way to discover and use tools exposed by external services. ValuEdge uses a remote MCP server so a supported AI assistant can request authorized investment data from ValuEdge on behalf of the signed-in user.

The current ValuEdge MCP connection is read-only. It is designed for portfolio analysis and stock valuation research, not for changing your ValuEdge account.

  2. 2Choose the option to create or add a custom app / MCP connection.
  3. 3Name it ValuEdge and paste the ValuEdge MCP server URL shown above.
  4. 4Let ChatGPT scan the available MCP tools, then complete the ValuEdge authentication prompt.
  5. 5In a chat, enable or select ValuEdge for the message and ask ChatGPT to use your ValuEdge data.

MCP-compatible apps

Use ValuEdge with other remote MCP clients

ValuEdge's connection is a remote MCP server. If another AI application supports authenticated remote MCP servers, use the same ValuEdge MCP URL, complete the ValuEdge sign-in flow, and enable the ValuEdge tools exposed by that client.

Exact setup steps vary by client, so follow that product's current documentation for adding a remote MCP server.

After product updates

Refresh ValuEdge when new MCP tools are released

AI assistants can cache an MCP server's tool list. When ValuEdge releases new MCP capabilities, refresh the ValuEdge app or connector so your assistant can discover the latest tools.

ChatGPT

  1. 1Open ValuEdge in ChatGPT's app settings.
  2. 2Use the available refresh action to rescan the MCP tools.
  3. 3Start a new message and select ValuEdge when fresh data is needed.

Claude

  1. 1Open Customize → Connectors and select ValuEdge.
  2. 2Refresh or reconnect the custom connector if its available tools changed.
  3. 3Enable ValuEdge in the conversation before asking Claude for fresh ValuEdge data.
