Why uplads

uplads vs. the official Meta and Google Ads MCP servers

Meta, Google, TikTok and Snapchat each ship an MCP server for their own network: one connection, one sign-in and one set of rules per network. uplads puts all five behind one connection and adds what a team needs around it. Already using a platform's own server? Keep it, uplads runs next to it.

Five networks, one connection

Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, Snapchat and LinkedIn behind one URL and one sign-in. “How did the client do last week?” reads all of them at once.

Launches you review first

New ads land as a draft in the uplads launcher, the one your team already uses. You check names, copy and placements, then press Launch.

Creatives straight from the folder

Paste a Dropbox or Google Drive link. The files are imported and grouped by placement, so the 9:16, 4:5 and 1:1 of one idea become one ad.

Spending rules you set

Pausing and lowering work any time. Anything that spends more needs your workspace switch and your yes in the chat, under a daily ceiling if you set one.

Your voice, your naming

It reads your Brand Context, copy templates and naming conventions before it writes, so the ads look like your team made them.

One record of everything

Every change on every network lands in one audit log under your account, marked as coming from MCP.

Every network

Ads MCP by network: Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, Snapchat

One connection covers all five networks uplads supports. What the assistant can do differs per network; Meta, TikTok, Google Ads and Snapchat each have their own page, and on LinkedIn it manages what already runs.

Capabilities

What the Ads MCP server can do on every network

Imports your creatives

Dropbox or Drive links. A folder link brings in every image and video at once.

Writes copy in your brand's voice

Reads your Brand Context and saved copy templates first, then writes primary texts, headlines and descriptions, per creative when it matters.

Stages launches on every network

Meta, TikTok, Google Ads and Snapchat launches land in the uplads Ad Launcher, pre-filled for your review. Want changes? It updates the same draft.

Builds campaigns and ad sets

On Meta, TikTok, Google Ads and Snapchat, with budget, schedule and targeting. Locations and interests are looked up, not guessed. Created paused.

Changes what already runs

Status, budgets, bids, names and copies everywhere. Targeting, texts and creatives on Meta, keywords and ad texts on Google, captions and links on TikTok. A new Meta creative starts a new post.

Finds what works

Ranks every creative across the ads that use it, runs the Analytics reports, paces the month's budget and puts a client's networks side by side.

Runs Optimize audits

Audits a Meta account against your goals and break-even, explains every finding and applies the ones you pick.

Sets up your automation

Rules with a replay on real numbers first, the approval queue, scheduled and weekly budget changes, and post boosts that turn new posts into ads.

Keeps your library in order

Finds, tags and sorts files into boards, renders placement crops and sets video covers. What it bins can be restored.

Follows a launch through

Reads a run ad by ad, stops one still in progress, retries what failed once you say yes, and checks every Meta ad against what was sent.

Spends only if you allow it

Pausing and lowering work any time. Launching, switching on, raising a budget or loosening a bid need your switch and your yes in the chat.

Leaves an audit trail

Every import, change, copy, rule and draft is recorded under your account.

Safety

Ads MCP security: OAuth, your permissions, spend limits

It is the same approved Meta app, the same official API and the same permissions you already have - your assistant just gets to use them, and only the parts you allow.

An app Meta reviewed

MCP runs through the same uplads app that passed Meta's official app review, on the same Marketing API endpoints Ads Manager itself uses. No scraping, no unofficial endpoints, nothing driving a browser on your account.

OAuth, never a password

You authorise uplads through Meta's own login screen. We never see your Facebook password, access tokens are encrypted at rest, and you can revoke uplads in Meta Business settings whenever you want.

The assistant inherits your limits

It signs in as your uplads account and gets exactly your role and plan. It cannot reach another workspace or do anything the app would refuse you. It removes only what an assistant created, from campaigns to rules and tags; what you made it only pauses or switches off.

Created paused, launched by you

New campaigns, ad sets and copies arrive paused, so nothing can spend while you read. Publishing, switching on, raising a budget, loosening a bid and letting a rule or post boost do any of that on its own need a switch you turn on per workspace and your yes in the chat, and stay under the daily ceiling on everything assistants put live or raise that day, if you set one.

A complete record

Every import, change, copy, rule and draft is written to your audit log and marked as coming from MCP. You can always reconstruct what the assistant did, and when.

Off again in one click

Configuration → MCP lists every connected app. Revoking takes effect immediately, and the ads you already launched are unaffected.

FAQ

Ads MCP server FAQ

How do I connect Claude to Meta Ads?

Open Customize → Connectors in Claude, add a custom connector and paste https://uplads.com/api/mcp, then sign in with your uplads account. Claude can then work inside your workspace: import creatives, write ad copy, create campaigns and ad sets, and stage a launch for you to review. There is no API key to copy.

Is there an MCP server for Meta Ads?

Yes. Meta runs one for Meta alone, and uplads runs one at https://uplads.com/api/mcp that covers Meta together with Google Ads, TikTok, Snapchat and LinkedIn. It exposes your ad accounts, campaigns, ad sets, performance and creative library as MCP tools, so any MCP client (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude Code) can prepare and manage Meta ad campaigns for you. Publishing stays with the human.

Meta and Google have their own MCP servers now. Why use uplads?

Their servers each cover their own network. uplads covers Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, Snapchat and LinkedIn behind one connection, imports creatives from Dropbox or Google Drive, stages new ads as drafts you review in the uplads launcher, applies the spending rules you set and records every change in one audit log. You can run both side by side: connecting uplads changes nothing about a platform's own server.

Does the MCP work with TikTok Ads?

Yes. Your assistant reads your TikTok advertisers, campaigns, ad groups, ads and performance, and it manages what runs: it switches campaigns, ad groups and ads on or off, changes budgets, bids, names and captions, changes the landing page and button of single-video ads, and duplicates. It builds new campaigns and ad groups switched off, and stages new ads, from your library or as a Spark ad on one of your own posts, as a draft you launch in the uplads TikTok launcher. Switching on, raising a budget or loosening a bid needs your workspace's permission and your yes in the chat.

Can Claude or ChatGPT manage Google Ads campaigns?

Yes, through uplads. Your assistant reads campaigns, ad groups, asset groups, ads, keywords, reports such as search terms, and who changed what in the last 30 days. It pauses, changes budgets and bidding, edits ad and asset group texts, adds and pauses keywords, duplicates, and creates paused Search, Display, Demand Gen, Performance Max and App campaigns. New asset groups, Demand Gen ads and YouTube video ads it stages as a draft you launch; images or videos added to running asset groups or App campaigns go live once Google approves them.

Can the assistant change ads that are already running?

Yes. On Meta it changes an ad set's targeting, placements, optimisation goal and ad scheduling, a campaign's bid strategy and spending limit, an ad's text, image, video, link, button and URL parameters, the post behind a boosted post ad and the cards of a carousel. A changed text, image or video gives the ad a new post: likes and comments do not carry over, and Meta reviews the ad again. It can put the previous version back.

Can the assistant set up automated rules?

Yes, on Meta and TikTok. It creates rules, replays a Meta rule over the last days of real numbers before you switch it on, explains why a rule did or did not act, and works the approval queue with you. A rule that pauses, lowers or notifies acts on its own. One that switches things on or raises budgets starts in approval mode: it proposes, and a person approves each action. It also schedules one-off and weekly budget changes, and sets up post boosts that turn new posts into ads.

Can it tell me which ads and creatives perform best?

Yes. On Meta and TikTok it ranks every image and video across all the ads that use it, judged on your account's own result against its target, and runs the Analytics reports such as Top Hooks or Fatigued Ads. On Meta it also reads the AI tags and transcripts uplads stored and runs an Optimize audit that names what to pause, cut or scale, and why. It reads the numbers before it proposes a change.

Can ChatGPT create Facebook or Instagram ad campaigns?

Through the uplads MCP connector, yes: ChatGPT can create campaigns and ad sets with budget, runtime and geo targeting, import the creatives and write the copy. Everything is created paused and the ads themselves only go live when you press Launch in uplads.

Can the AI publish ads or spend my money?

Not unless you allow it. By default your assistant prepares everything and hands you a review link - campaigns and ad sets are created paused and hold no ads, so nothing spends. If you want a fully remote workflow you can switch on autonomous launching per workspace, optionally with a daily budget ceiling. The ceiling is a total for the day: everything assistants put live or raise, across every call and network, has to fit under it, including what an assistant scheduled earlier, on the day it fires. The ceiling is in the currency you pick with it: accounts that bill in that currency share one daily total, and in an account that bills in another currency an outside assistant cannot start or raise spend while a ceiling is set. Pausing and lowering stay free, and you can still make the change yourself in uplads. Even then the assistant has to show you what goes live and hear your yes in the chat before it launches, activates, raises a budget, loosens a bid or lets a rule or post boost do any of that on its own, and every one of those is recorded in your audit log. The switch and the ceiling are for assistants connected from outside, such as Claude or ChatGPT: in the assistant inside uplads, pressing GO on its confirmation card is your yes for everything it does.

Which AI clients does the uplads MCP server support?

Claude (claude.ai and desktop), ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Google Antigravity and Codex CLI all connect with the same URL and a sign-in. There is no API key to create, copy or store: uplads answers an unauthenticated call by pointing the client at its sign-in, and the client takes it from there.

Which ad platforms are supported?

All five networks uplads launches on. On Meta (Facebook and Instagram), TikTok, Google Ads and Snapchat your assistant builds paused structure, stages new ads as a draft for your review and manages what already runs. On LinkedIn it reads and manages campaigns, ad groups and ads: status, budgets, bids, names, copies, archiving and performance; new LinkedIn ads you launch yourself in the uplads launcher. How deep the edits go differs, because the platforms allow different things: Meta has the most, Google adds keywords and change history, and Snapchat does not let anyone change the text of a running ad. Meta, TikTok, Google Ads and Snapchat each have their own page.

Can the assistant delete my campaigns?

No. It can remove only what an assistant created through uplads, such as a copy, a rule or a tag it made, and nothing that holds something you added or launched. Your own campaigns, ad sets and ads it only ever pauses. On Meta a removed campaign is deleted when Meta allows it, such as a test campaign that never delivered; one with history is archived, and the assistant tells you which.

Is it safe to connect an AI assistant to my ad account?

The assistant never touches your Meta account directly - it talks to uplads, and uplads talks to Meta through the same app-review-approved Meta app and official Marketing API it always has. You approve the connection on a consent screen and can revoke it any time under Configuration → MCP. Access is scoped to your workspace, tokens are stored hashed, write operations pass the same permission and plan checks as the app, and everything the assistant does is recorded in your audit log.

Is uplads an approved Meta app, or an unofficial workaround?

Approved. The uplads Meta app passed Meta's official app review and every call runs against the Meta Marketing API - the same endpoints Ads Manager uses. There is no scraping, no unofficial endpoint and no automation driving a browser session on your account. Connecting an AI assistant over MCP does not change any of that: it is the same app and the same permissions, with a conversation in front of them. uplads is not a Meta Business Partner and does not claim to be - the claim here is narrower and checkable: an approved app on the official API.

Can the assistant see my Facebook password or other ad accounts?

No to both. You connect Meta to uplads through Meta's own OAuth login, so no password ever reaches us, and stored access tokens are encrypted at rest. The MCP connection is then scoped to your uplads workspace and inherits your role: it sees the ad accounts you see and nothing from anyone else's workspace. You can revoke uplads from Meta Business settings and the MCP client from Configuration → MCP, independently of each other.

What does it cost?

MCP is included in every uplads plan at no extra cost - you connect it under Configuration → MCP. Preparing campaigns works throughout the free trial; once a trial ends without a plan the workspace turns read-only, so your assistant can still read but no longer create.
